Player News for Tuesday 29 October 2019…….

Agholor caught all four of his targets for seven yards and added seven more yards on two rushing attempts in Sunday's 31-13 win over Buffalo.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Agholor gained seven yards on his first reception in the first quarter and rushed around the left end for 16 yards later in the frame but would mostly lose yardage on his remaining touches. With 261 receiving yards and half the season in the books, the former first-round pick is well off even the 700-yard pace that had become his baseline over the last two seasons. With the Bears on tap Week 9, it's tough to foresee the 26-year-old bucking that trend in the near future.

----------

Jordan Akins (TE) HOU - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430101
Akins caught two of five targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Raiders in Week 8.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: It was another game where Houston's tight ends were integral to the passing offense. Akins and Darren Fells combined for 11 targets, tying the position's season high, but it was Fells that made the most impact by catching two red-zone touchdowns. For this one game, the Texans partially made up for the absence of Will Fuller (hamstring) by allocating more opportunities to their tight ends, while Keke Coutee did not even get off the sideline. Halfway through the season, Akins has already matched his catch and target totals from all of 2018. Unfortunately, he evenly shares the position with Fells, and fantasy owners are rolling the dice any given week when selecting either one.

----------

Brandon Allen (QB) DEN - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430194
Allen will start Sunday's game against the Browns and perhaps beyond that point, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Broncos are making a change at QB with Joe Flacco suffering a neck injury. A precise timetable for his recovery isn't known, but it's believed to be a multi-week issue. In Flacco's place, Allen will make his first appearance as a professional after bouncing around three organizations throughout his career.

----------

Kyle Allen (QB) CAR - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430201
Coach Ron Rivera said Allen will be the Panthers' starting quarterback Sunday against the Titans, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Cam Newton remains embedded in his rehab program, with no end in sight to his recovery from a Lisfranc injury in his left foot. As such, Allen will get his sixth consecutive start Week 9, though his output has wavered from week to week. Overall, he's completed 62 percent of his passes, averaged 211.8 passing yards per game and posted a 7:3 TD:INT. He'll aim for a bounce-back effort Sunday versus Tennessee's 15th-ranked pass defense (239.1 yards per game).

----------

Geronimo Allison (WR) GB - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430137
Allison caught one of three targets for seven yards during Sunday's 31-24 win over the Chiefs.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Allison was outproduced by Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Jimmy Graham, Allen Lazard and Jake Kumerow in the passing attack Sunday. Despite the extended absence of Davante Adams (toe), Allison hasn't managed to make a consistent impact in the Packers' offense. In six of eight games this season, Allison has failed to either eclipse 50 receiving yards or log a touchdown, making him difficult to rely on for fantasy purposes.

----------

Danny Amendola (WR) DET - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430157
Amendola caught all eight of his targets for 95 yards during Sunday's 31-26 victory over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Kenny Golladay stole the show with a pair of touchdown catches, but Amendola was crucial in helping Detroit sustain drives - just like he was last week against the Vikings. In fact, Amendola has now been the target of almost a quarter of Matthew Stafford's pass attempts over the past two games. While fantasy owners should still keep in mind that Amendola seems to have a low floor in this offense -- he caught just five of seven targets for 43 yards in three games from Week 2 through Week 6 -- it's possible the chest injury that forced him to miss one of those games played a role in that lowly output. In any case, it's clear that Stafford is becoming rather fond of the veteran wideout, and there's plenty of reason to believe the pair could have another productive outing Week 9 against the Raiders.

----------

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (WR) PHI - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430308
Arcega-Whiteside played just four snaps in Sunday's 31-13 win over Buffalo.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Arcega-Whiteside has played just 29 snaps over the last five weeks and has not drawn a target in that time. It would take another rash of injuries to the Eagles' receiving corps before the rookie might become a factor in the offense.

----------

Kalen Ballage (RB) MIA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430276
Ballage will be the Dolphins' starting running back Monday at Pittsburgh, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: In the wake of Kenyan Drake getting moved to Arizona, Miami will entrust the backfield in Ballage's hands first. When Ballage started Weeks 1 and 2, he was granted at least a 50 percent share of the offensive snaps in both of those contests, but he managed just 24 yards from scrimmage and no TDs on 11 touches. There's a decent bet he splits the work with Mark Walton against the Steelers' 19th-ranked run defense (110.2 yards per game).

----------

Brandon Bolden (RB) NE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430141
Bolden was on the field for three of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Bolden, who didn't record a carry or catch Sunday, logged 22 special teams snaps in the contest. He saw his role in New England's offense reduced Week 8 with Rex Burkhead back in the team's backfield mix. Until the next injury hits the team's running back corps, Bolden's touches figure to be sporadic.

----------

Reggie Bonnafon (RB) CAR - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430119
Bonnafon rushed once for four yards and caught one of three targets for three yards in Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Bonnafon played 12 offensive snaps behind star Christian McCaffrey, but rookie Jordan Scarlett actually saw more touches, garnering four carries. However, all those came in garbage time on the Panthers' final drive, which was Scarlett's only involvement on offense.

----------

Nick Bosa (DE) SF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430112
Bosa recorded four tackles (all solo), three sacks and his first career interception in Sunday's 51-13 win over the Panthers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Bosa turned in one of the best individual defensive performances of 2019. The impressive rookie continues to raise the bar for Defensive Rookie of the Year. The 22-year-old phenom has now accrued 20 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble and an interception through seven games. If Bosa continues to play at this frenetic pace, he will not only be the front-runner for DROY, but he will also be in consideration for Defensive Player of the Year. He will look to make the Cardinals pay for passing up on the consensus best player in the draft when the 49ers take on No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray on Thursday.

----------

Kendrick Bourne (WR) SF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430107
Bourne caught the only ball thrown his way for 12 yards in Sunday's 51-13 win over Carolina.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Bourne wasn't able to build off of last week's season-high 69 receiving yards. The low production can be attributed to a game script that prompted an even heavier rushing split than usual (38 rushes to 18 pass attempts) after the 49ers went up big and stayed up wire to wire. The 24-year-old was able to stick at No. 4 on the wide receiver depth chart following the acquisition of Emmanuel Sanders due to Marquise Goodwin's (personal) absence. If the latter is available for Thursday's matchup against Arizona, then Bourne could find himself out of the wideout rotation for Week 9.

----------

Matt Breida (RB) SF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430230
Breida (ankle) was listed as a limited on Monday's practice estimate, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Breida was injured late in the first half of Sunday's win over the Panthers and didn't return for the remainder of the game. It's possible the 49ers simply held him out for precautionary purposes since they had a comfortable lead, and the fact he would've been able to practice in some capacity Monday could support that notion. Tuesday's actual practice will reveal more about Breida's status for Thursday's game against the Cardinals.

----------

Jaron Brown (WR) SEA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430116
Brown didn't receive a target in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Falcons.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Brown has normally been the Seahawks' No. 3 receiver this year, but he was out-snapped 30-17 by David Moore on Sunday. It resulted in Brown's third game without a target this season. It wouldn't be surprising if Moore maintains his hold on this role since he's more talented than Brown, although Seattle doesn't have consistent fantasy receivers outside of Tyler Lockett.

----------

Fred Brown (WR) DEN - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430275
Brown caught one of his two targets for a 16-yard gain during Sunday's 15-13 loss in Indianapolis.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The stats won't jump out at you, but Brown actually ended the day as Denver's WR2 in terms of offensive snaps, edging DaeSean Hamilton 46 to 45. Neither target should receive too much action in a woeful Denver offense that seems to be using backs and tight ends to fill the void left by Emmanuel Sanders' departure, but it's telling that Denver gave Brown so much responsibility after activating him from the practice squad just a month ago. Next up is the Browns with Brandon Allen at quarterback replacing the injured Joe Flacco (neck).

----------

A.J. Brown (WR) TEN - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430110
Brown caught two of his three targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Buccaneers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Brown took on a surprisingly small role in the Titans' passing attack, finishing tied for fifth on the team in targets. He also didn't work down the field with those targets, as his longest reception went for just eight yards. However, he did manage to salvage his day by collecting the game-winning touchdown with just under seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Despite Ryan Tannehill giving the offense some new life, it is clear that the team is wiling to rely on its defense and running game to try and produce wins. That makes Brown and the Titans' other receivers volatile fantasy options.

----------

Rex Burkhead (RB) NE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430138
Burkhead logged 13 of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: In his first game since Sept. 29, Burkhead carried three times for four yards and caught his only target for nine yards. As long as top back Sony Michel and change-of-pace/pass-catching ace James White remain healthy, the versatile Burkhead's weekly volume in the New England offense will be difficult to project.

----------

Antonio Callaway (WR) CLE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430304
Callaway caught two of three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to New England.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The second-year WR played 53 snaps (78 percent) while maintaining the No. 3 wideout role, as Rashard Higgins (14 snaps) has been slow to return from a knee injury. Callaway has caught only four of 10 targets for 33 yards this year, though, giving him little job security.

----------

Parris Campbell (WR) IND - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430227
Campbell did not have a target and played just eight snaps on offense in Sunday's win over Denver.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Campbell returned after missing three weeks due to an abdominal injury, but wasn't much a part of the game plan. It's notable that he was active while Deon Cain was inactive for the game. Campbell had eight targets in his previous game Week 4, so the Colts may have tried to ease him back into action.

----------

DeAndre Carter (WR) HOU - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430102
Carter played 47 snaps and caught one of three targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Raiders.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: It was surprising to see Carter get his highest snap total since Week 1 while Keke Coutee remained on the sideline all game. With Will Fuller (hamstring) inactive for the first of what is expected to be multiple weeks, it was expected that Coutee and Kenny Stills would be the secondary receivers after DeAndre Hopkins. It's unknown at this point why Carter vaulted over Coutee or if this was a matchup-based decision.

----------

Charles Clay (TE) ARZ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430232
Clay (back) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Clay is coming off his best performance of the season with three catches for 88 yards in Sunday's loss to the Saints. He may have tweaked something in the contest, as Clay wouldn't have been at full speed if the Cardinals held a practice. The 30-year-old tight end has a short timetable to get healthy with Thursday's matchup against the 49ers on deck.

----------

Keelan Cole (WR) JAC - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430207
Cole caught both his targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 29-15 win against the Jets.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 26-year-old was involved early as the six-yard touchdown occurred barely two minutes into the first quarter, marking his second straight game with a score. Marqise Lee (shoulder) and Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder) both exited during the first half, leading to Cole's highest snap count of the season (26), but his lack of involvement in the passing game during their absence is a bit disappointing. Cole could work as the Jaguars' No. 3 wide receiver if both players are unable to suit up Week 9.

----------

James Conner (RB) PIT - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430331
Conner suffered an AC joint shoulder injury Monday against the Dolphins but the severity remains unknown, Mike Giardi of NFL Network reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Conner did not speak to reporters in the locker room after the win and was spotted exiting the stadium with his right shoulder in a sling. There's really no telling how serious the injury is until more information is made available. Conner anchored the Steelers offense Monday night, running the ball a season-high 23 times for 145 yards while adding three receptions for five yards in the contest. Look for more updates on his status to come when the Steelers resume practice later this week.

----------

Keke Coutee (WR) HOU - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430103
Coutee dressed but did not play in Sunday's 27-24 win over Oakland in Week 8.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Coutee was a beneficiary of playing time when Will Fuller (hamstring) was removed from Week 7's loss to the Colts, so it was surprising to see DeAndre Carter get those snaps a week later. There has been no indication of an injury on Coutee's part. Unless the team clarifies the situation, the assumption should be that Carter is the No. 3 wideout while Fuller remains sidelined.

----------

Sam Darnold (QB) NYJ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430191
Darnold sprained his left thumb during Sunday's 29-15 loss at Jacksonville, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports. "This is one of those things that's going to bother him all year, but he's going to play through this," coach Adam Gase said.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Since missing three games due to mononucleosis, Darnold has been all over the place, production-wise, going for 338, 86 and 218 passing yards the past three contests. Fueled by a four-interception performance Week 7 against the Pats, he has a 4:8 TD:INT during that stretch. In the midst of Sunday's game, he was seen with his left thumb wrapped, which since has been diagnosed as a sprain. While the injury may impact his practice reps, Darnold will continue to be under center for the Jets, if Gase's comments are to be believed.

----------

Phillip Dorsett (WR) NE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430147
Dorsett was on the field for 64 of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns, en route to catching three of his six targets for 43 yards.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Meanwhile, Julian Edelman logged 66 snaps, while newcomer Mohamed Sanu was on the field for 37 snaps. Once Sanu becomes more acclimated with the team's offense, his workload figures to expand, probably at Dorsett's expense. There's still some deep-league fantasy value to be found from whoever serves as the Patriots' No. 3 wide receiver, but as long as Edelman and Sanu remain healthy, Dorsett's target share figures to be inconsistent.

----------

Kenyan Drake (RB) ARZ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430242
The Dolphins officially traded Drake to the Cardinals for a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2020 draft, per the NFL's transaction log.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Cardinals have a clear need in a backfield in which David Johnson (ankle) is day-to-day, Chase Edmonds (hamstring) is doubtful to suit up Thursday, and D.J. Foster (hamstring) landed on IR. Drake will have a steep learning curve with the team facing a short week and the formidable 49ers on tap, but his only competitors for reps (assuming Johnson and Edmonds don't play) are Zach Zenner and Alfred Morris. For his career, Drake has averaged 4.6 yards per carry, hauled in 116 of 164 targets and scored 15 touchdowns in 54 games.

----------

Chase Edmonds (RB) ARZ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430215
Coach Kliff Kingsbury characterized Edmonds (hamstring) as doubtful for Thursday's game against the 49ers, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The news doesn't come as a major surprise after Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported earlier Monday that Edmonds would likely miss a few weeks as a result of the hamstring strain he sustained in Sunday's loss to the Saints. Meanwhile, Kingsbury called David Johnson (ankle) day-to-day, though he too will have a tough time gaining clearance on a short week. In response to injuries to their top two backs, the Cardinals made a deal with the Dolphins on Monday to acquire Kenyan Drake, who could lead the Arizona backfield Thursday in his team debut.

----------

Gerald Everett (TE) LA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430251
Everett caught two of his three targets for just 15 yards during Sunday's 24-10 win over Cincinnati.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While the third-year tight end has been a little inconsistent the past five weeks, he's still totaled a respectable 20 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns. The next step for Everett is becoming a factor week in, week out. Being limited to 32 offensive snaps Sunday definitely contributed to his poor showing, but it was probably just a blip on the radar. Everett topped 50 snaps in five of the previous six games, after all.

----------

Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB) MIA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430324
Fitzpatrick completed 21 of 34 passes for 190 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during Monday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers. He also had two fumbles, one of which he recovered.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Fitzpatrick also ran the ball four times for 11 yards and was sacked four times. The veteran quarterback led the Dolphins to an early first quarter lead, connecting with Allen Hurns and Albert Wilson for scores, but Miami's offense struggled to make anything happen after that point. The winless Dolphins unit didn't manage to score during the game's final three quarters, or even march into field-goal territory. With just over one minute remaining in the contest, Fitzpatrick narrowly avoided fumbling a tipped ball, then closed the game out with an unfortunate sack while attempting to scramble on the next play. If Fitzpatrick retains the starting job Week 9, he'll benefit from a more favorable matchup against the Jets' struggling defense.

----------

Joe Flacco (QB) DEN - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430280
Flacco (neck) could be placed on injured reserve, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The precise nature of the injury is unknown, but coach Vic Fangio termed it "a neck or disc issue," according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. If Flacco eventually lands on IR, the Broncos likely will be without the veteran for the rest of the season. In Flacco's place, Brandon Allen will run the offense, at least until 2019 second-round pick Drew Lock has completed his recovery from a sprained right thumb.

----------

D.J. Foster (RB) ARZ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430236
Foster (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Foster missed the last two games with the hamstring issue and now is likely to be sidelined for the rest of the season. Kenyan Drake was acquired from Miami (pending a physical) to bolster Arizona's running game while David Johnson (ankle) and Chase Edmonds (hamstring) nurse injuries.

----------

Robert Foster (WR) BUF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430223
Foster was targeted once but didn't catch a pass in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The second-year receiver is still looking for his first catch of the year after suiting up in four games and missing three others, simply awful production for a guy that came out of nowhere last season to post a 27-541-3 line in 13 games, especially when you consider Zay Jones recently got traded. Foster is at best the fourth WR option on the team, and with No. 5 Andre Roberts being a valuable return man, the former runs the risk of being benched again if the team wants to suit up Isaiah McKenzie for more change-of-pace plays. Foster is far off the fantasy radar.

----------

Marquise Goodwin (WR) SF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430229
Goodwin (personal) returned to the team Monday and is expected to play Thursday against the Cardinals, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Goodwin was excused by the team late last week to tend to a personal matter, but the issue appears to be resolved as the veteran receiver was present at the 49ers' facilities Monday. He figures to work in as the No. 2 receiver behind Emmanuel Sanders for the 49ers. Goodwin's performance as the top option was less than impressive with just 11 catches for 181 yards and a score through six games, so unless Sanders can draw enough attention away from Goodwin, he's a risky play for fantasy purposes.

----------

Jimmy Graham (TE) GB - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430142
Graham caught three of five targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 31-24 victory over Kansas City.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Green Bay leaned on production from the running back position during Sunday's win, as Aaron Jones stole the show with 67 rushing yards and 159 receiving yards. Jones and fellow tailback Jamaal Williams also each accounted for two scores. The backfield duo's stellar performance didn't leave much in the way of red-zone or aerial opportunity for Graham, who has now failed to score or surpass 50 receiving yards in five of eight games. The veteran tight end is a purely touchdown-dependent fantasy option.

----------

Derrius Guice (RB) WAS - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430255
Guice (knee) has been designated to return from injured reserve, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Redskins opened a 21-day window in which to activate Guice to the 53-man roster by allowing him to practice Monday. "He's worked hard to get back, and his workload was a good amount today but not too much because we're still monitoring his conditioning level as he works back into football," interim head coach Bill Callahan said. Guice is in the latter stages of his recovery from surgery to trim a torn meniscus in his right knee, which so far has sidelined him for seven games. He'll miss another one this Sunday at Buffalo, but with a Week 10 bye to follow, the team anticipates him returning to action Nov. 17 against the Jets.

----------

Marvin Hall (WR) DET - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430162
Hall brought in his only target for a 49-yard touchdown during Sunday's 31-26 victory over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: After making huge catches each of the past three games, it seemed like only a matter of time until Hall was able to get into the end zone. This time, he burned Giants safety Michael Thomas to bring in a bomb from Matthew Stafford in the first quarter. It's probably naive to think Hall can sustain his current average of 40.2 yards per catch, but there's no denying the lid-lifting ability he brings to Detroit, and it's possible he could eventually have a huge fantasy day if he's ever targeted on more than a single deep pass in a game. The main thing holding him back from that is Hall's lack of playing time relative to Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola, considering Hall matched his season high Sunday with only 14 offensive snaps.

----------

DaeSean Hamilton (WR) DEN - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430273
Hamilton was unable to bring in his lone target during Sunday' 15-13 loss in Indianapolis.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Emmanuel Sanders trade to San Francisco opened up an enormous gap in the passing offense that Hamilton figured to get first dibs filling. It didn't work out that way as Hamilton was held catchless for the third time this season and was even edged out in offensive snaps by Fred Brown, 46 to 45. The Broncos seem as though they will fill the void Sanders left behind by throwing it more to Courtland Sutton and the backs and tight ends, namely rookie Noah Fant. That would place Hamilton as no better than third or fourth in the pecking order in an offense that has looked horrid and will give Brandon Allen the first start of his career Sunday against Cleveland.

----------

Justin Hardy (WR) ATL - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430326
Hardy accounted for 23 receiving yards on two catches during Sunday's 27-20 loss to Seattle.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The trade of Mohamed Sanu trade to New England was bound to increase offensive involvement for a third Falcons receiver, but in Week 8 that player turned out to be Russell Gage rather than Hardy. The second-year man more than doubled Hardy's target share (nine to four), and accounted for seven catches and 58 yards in a matchup against Seattle's susceptible 27th-ranked pass defense. Hardy and the Falcons' receiving corps now segue into a Week 9 bye, before facing a Saints defense Nov. 10 that ranks among that NFL's 10-stingiest units with just 1.2 passing touchdowns allowed per game this season.

----------

Darrell Henderson (RB) LA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430113
Henderson took 11 carries for 49 yards and caught two of three targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Bengals in London.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Todd Gurley actually finished with fewer carries (10) and targets (zero), though he dominated playing time in the first half and also handled all the red-zone work, including a three-yard touchdown to give the Rams a 14-point lead with 10:14 remaining in the third quarter. The short score was Gurley's final touch of the day, with Henderson getting nine carries and two targets from that point forward. The rookie ultimately saw a 48 percent snap share, just a tick behind Gurley's 52 percent. It was interesting to see Gurley disappear from a game the Rams never led by more than 14 points -- perhaps a hint at a more cautious approach, or else increased confidence in Henderson. Whatever the case, the Rams' backfield could become even more complicated after a Week 9 bye, with Malcolm Brown potentially returning from the ankle injury that has kept him out the past two games.

----------

Chris Herndon (TE) NYJ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430206
Coach Adam Gase said Herndon (hamstring) "looks better" for Sunday's game at Miami, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Since completing a four-game suspension to start the season, Herndon has tended to a hamstring strain, missing four more contests as a result. He made progress last week with limited listings on all three injury reports, but Gase and company may want Herndon to complete a full session before giving him the all-clear to return to action. Until Herndon does so, Ryan Griffin figures to be the Jets' primary tight end.

----------

Tyler Higbee (TE) LA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430252
Higbee caught his only target for eight yards during Sunday's 24-10 win over Cincinnati.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Higbee started against the Bengals and played 34 of 62 offensive snaps. He's now been held to an eight-yard reception in consecutive games and hasn't made a notable fantasy impact since finding the end zone in Week 1 against Carolina.

----------

Rashard Higgins (WR) CLE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430301
Higgins played just 14 snaps in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots, catching one of two targets for two yards while getting flagged for an offensive pass interference penalty.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Higgins played his first game since suffering a knee injury during Week 1. He returned and dressed for Week 6 but did not play in a loss to the Seahawks. Despite an additional two weeks of healing, his workload was still limited while Antonio Callaway handled the No. 3 receiver role once again. "We feel like he is doing better right now. Hig has been back two weeks. Contrary to popular belief, Higgins was not ready to play three weeks ago," head coach Freddie Kitchens told Scott Patsko of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I am not answering questions about playing time. We are playing who we think is giving us the best chance to win right now." Higgins was seen as someone that could help a struggling offense and he still could, but it doesn't sound like his coach is convinced.

----------

Dontrell Hilliard (RB) CLE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430302
Hilliard caught all four of his targets for 24 yards and added another 10 yards on his lone carry in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hilliard played a career-high 26 snaps, lining up at wide receiver a few times, and tied his career high in receptions. He's caught six passes over the last two games, as the Browns look at other targets with wide receiver Rashard Higgins possibly not fully over his knee injury. Once Week 10 hits, Hilliard's playing time will be squeezed with the return of Kareem Hunt (suspension), another capable receiving threat.

----------

Nyheim Hines (RB) IND - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430234
Hines had four carries for 12 yards and three receptions for 34 yards on three targets in Sunday's win over Denver.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hines played on 18 of the offense's 64 snaps and got more usage than Jordan Wilkins (six snaps). He remains the top passing-down option at running back but isn't getting much playing time behind Marlon Mack.

----------

T.J. Hockenson (TE) DET - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430167
Hockenson caught his only target for 21 yards during Sunday's 31-26 victory over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Despite a soft matchup, Hockenson didn't see many passes come his way. Instead, he watched Danny Amendola serve as Matthew Stafford's favorite short-range weapon. Playing time isn't the issue with Hockenson -- he saw almost double the offensive snaps of the next-busiest tight end in Jesse James -- but rather it's Stafford's propensity to spread the ball around. As long as Amendola, Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones stay healthy, it will continue to be difficult to trust Hockenson as anything more than a low-floor, somewhat-high-upside fantasy play.

----------

Mack Hollins (WR) PHI - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430307
Hollins did not see a target in Sunday's 31-13 win over Buffalo.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hollins got the start and played 43 of 73 snaps, but his only appearance in the box score was a penalty for running into the kicker while trying to block a punt. The 26-year-old has seen just six passing attempts in his direction over the last five weeks and has come down with only one of them. With DeSean Jackson on the mend from an abdominal injury, Hollins' days as a starter are likely coming to an end, perhaps as soon as Week 9 against the Bears.

----------

Allen Hurns (WR) MIA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430332
Hurns caught his only target for 12 yards and a touchdown during Monday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hurns made the most of his lone target, connecting with Ryan Fitzpatrick for a score during the first quarter. Unfortunately, Miami's offense was kept from reaching paydirt again from that point on. Hurns' low weekly target volume makes him difficult to trust for fantasy purposes, but facing a plus matchup against the Jets' secondary in Week 9, he could provide low-upside value in the deepest of leagues.

----------

DeSean Jackson (WR) PHI - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430149
Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Jackson (abdomen) would be incorporated in the Eagles' practices this week, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Per Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Pederson noted that Jackson would only practice "a little bit," which seemingly doesn't put the wideout on track to return from a six-game absence to play Sunday versus the Bears. Instead, the Eagles are probably more realistically banking on Jackson returning to action Nov. 17 against the Patriots, since he would benefit from a Week 10 bye in advance of that game.

----------

David Johnson (RB) ARZ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430228
Johnson (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Coach Kilff Kingsbury reported earlier Monday that Johnson is day-to-day. The Cardinals didn't hold an actual practice Monday, but Johnson would've stayed on the sidelines if they did. That supports the notion that Johnson won't suit up for Thursday's prime-time game against the 49ers, but he still has two more practices to record practice reps. Chase Edmonds (hamstring) is considered doubtful, putting Kenyan Drake, who the Cardinals acquired via trade from the Dolphins, in line for a hefty workload if both backs sit out.

----------

Diontae Johnson (WR) PIT - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430343
Johnson caught 5 of 7 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-14 win over the Dolphins.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The return of Mason Rudolph at quarterback resulted in the rookie receiver having his best game this season. He converted a 3rd-and-20 for a 45-yard touchdown and now has three touchdowns in his last five games. Week 9 has Johnson facing an Indianapolis defense that has allowed just two passing touchdowns in their last three games but he still warrants consideration in most fantasy formats.

----------

Case Keenum (QB) WAS - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430209
Interim coach Bill Callahan said Monday that Keenum remains in the NFL's concussion protocol but noted that the quarterback would start Week 9 in Buffalo if cleared to play, Kyle Stackpole of the Redskins' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Redskins currently are viewing Keenum as day-to-day while he works through the protocol. At this point, he hasn't seemed to have made much tangible progress in his recovery since suffering the head injury last Thursday in the loss to the Vikings, as he wasn't cleared for non-contact work during Monday's practice. Dwayne Haskins handled the first-team reps and presumably will be in line for the Week 9 start in the event Keenum is ruled out.

----------

Dawson Knox (TE) BUF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430160
Knox was targeted just once with no catches during Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: It was the rookie's first career game where he did not have at least one reception, though the end result is perhaps not as surprising as the first glance at the empty line, given that starter Tyler Kroft is back in action and both teams were forced to throw in gusty winds. Knox was a trendy pickup a few weeks ago following a couple of decent games, but sharing time with Kroft is going to make consistent production for either player a tough task, especially when you consider the Bills offer an unpolished passing attack.

----------

Tyler Kroft (TE) BUF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430124
Kroft caught two balls on four targets for 32 yards during Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Both of Kroft's catches went for first downs on a nasty, windy day that made it tough for even the strong-armed Josh Allen and Carson Wentz to throw the ball. Kroft was on the field for 58 percent of the offensive plays, while rookie Dawson Knox saw 45 percent, blocker Lee Smith 32 percent, and Tommy Sweeney was inactive. Kroft didn't get a single target in his first game of the season last week, so the modest Week 8 production represents improved involvement in the offense. Still, this isn't an effective passing team and Kroft has to share looks with too many others to offer consistent value.

----------

Jake Kumerow (WR) GB - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430136
Kumerow caught two of four targets for 48 yards during Sunday's 31-24 win over the Chiefs.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Kumerow's receiving yardage total was the highest of any Green Bay wideout in Week 8. Of course, Aaron Jones' seven-catch, 159-yard performance didn't leave much on the table for anyone else. The Wisconsin-Whitewater product has now eclipsed 45 receiving yards in two consecutive contests, though it's worth noting that Kumerow played fewer snaps (51 percent) than Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling or Geronimo Allison. Kumerow could play a similar role in Green Bay's aerial attack Week 9 against the Chargers if Davante Adams (toe) is unable to retake the field.

----------

Cody Latimer (WR) NYG - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430240
Latimer caught two of three passes for 28 yards during Sunday's loss to the Lions.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Latimer ranked third among New York's wide receivers with 33 offensive snaps but wasn't significantly involved in the passing game. Darius Slayton played 62 snaps, caught two of five targets for 50 yards and two touchdowns and clearly has stepped into the No. 2 spot at wide receiver with Sterling Shepard (concussion) sidelined.

----------

Allen Lazard (WR) GB - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430133
Lazard caught all five of his targets for 42 yards during Sunday's 31-24 win over the Chiefs.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Lazard saw the largest snap count (67 percent) of any Green Bay wideout during the Week 8 win, and he outpaced fellow receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison in terms of receiving yards. The Iowa State product appears to be entrenching himself as a reliable weapon in the Packers' aerial attack, though it remains to be seen what sort of role he'll play when Davante Adams (toe) eventually returns to the lineup.

----------

Drew Lock (QB) DEN - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430226
Coach Vic Fangio said Monday that Lock's sprained right thumb has healed, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Fangio wouldn't disclose whether Lock would resume practicing this week.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Among their 10 players on injured reserve, the Broncos are considering multiple candidates for their two "designated-to-return" spots. GM John Elway already has suggested that one of those spots will be reserved for receiver Tim Patrick (hand), so the team may want to evaluate Lock for a little longer before deciding whether to commit the other spot to him. Lock's potential return from IR took on greater import Monday, when Fangio revealed that top quarterback Joe Flacco (neck) was dealing with a disc issue that could require season-ending surgery. Fangio has already named Brandon Allen the starter for Sunday's game against the Browns, so Lock -- if he practices this week -- could be activated right away and slot in as the backup. Practice squad quarterback Brett Rypien is another candidate to be added to the 53-man roster.

----------

LeSean McCoy (RB) KC - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430310
McCoy was limited to just 40 yards on nine carries and caught all four of his targets for 23 yards Sunday against the Packers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: McCoy saw one fewer snap in Week 8 than fellow back Damien Williams, but the veteran did more with his share in terms of yardage. Unfortunately, he didn't find pay dirt, while Williams did, and the committee approach being used in Kansas City will likely force a RB to do just that to reach fantasy relevance in most leagues on a given week.

----------

Vance McDonald (TE) PIT - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430341
McDonald caught 3 of 4 targets for 19 yards in Monday's 27-14 win over the Dolphins.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The tight end has become an afterthought in the Pittsburgh offense, with McDonald averaging 24.3 yards on less than three receptions per game. Outside of his seven catch, two touchdown game against Seattle, he has done little to merit fantasy consideration this season. Fantasy owners shouldn't expect that to change in Week 9 against the Colts who have allowed opposing tight ends to score just one touchdown in their last four games.

----------

J.D. McKissic (RB) DET - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430139
McKissic rushed once for minus-1 yard and secured all three of his targets for two yards during Sunday's 31-26 victory over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: McKissic was penciled in for an elevated workload in Detroit's first game without Kerryon Johnson (knee), but the Lions instead deployed a full-blown committee approach to the running back position. Each of Ty Johnson (25 snaps), Tra Carson (19), McKissic (16) and Paul Perkins (six) took reps with the offense, and each of Carson (12 carries), Johnson (seven) and Perkins (three) were given more rushing attempts than McKissic. Even though the latter likely remains the team's preferred passing-down back, this Detroit backfield is probably one to avoid for fantasy purposes unless some runner eventually emerges from the pack.

----------

Jakobi Meyers (WR) NE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430151
Meyers logged 25 a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns, en route to catching one of his two targets for five yards.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With Mohamed Sanu now in the team's wide receiver mix along with Julian Edelman and Phillip Dorsett, Meyers slots in no higher than New England's No. 4 option at the position, given that N'Keal Harry (ankle) could join the mix as soon as this coming weekend's tilt against the Ravens.

----------

David Moore (WR) SEA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430114
Moore caught one of four targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Falcons.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Moore played 30 of 61 offensive snaps in the victory, clearly out-snapping Jaron Brown (17) and Malik Turner (seven). It has essentially been a rotation between Moore and Brown as the Seahawks' No. 3 wideout, although the majority of the meaningful reps have gone to Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf this year. Moore has yet to surpass 36 yards in a game this season.

----------

C.J. Mosley (LB) NYJ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430192
Mosley (groin) is expected to be sidelined at least the next five weeks, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Adam Gase said Monday that Mosley visited a specialist to address his lingering groin issue, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic. Mosley plans to treat his injury through non-surgical means, keeping hope alive for him to avoid landing on injured reserve and return later this season. For the immediate future, however, Blake Cashman and Albert McClellan (concussion) will see increased opportunities on defense.

----------

Raheem Mostert (RB) SF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430250
Mostert (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's estimated injury report.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: For the third week in a row, Mostert's practice reps have been impacted by a knee injury, but he is coming off his best performance of the season. During Sunday's blowout of the Panthers, he racked up 60 yards and a TD on just nine carries, working primarily in garbage time. Assuming he gets cleared to play Thursday at Arizona, he'll likely be contained to special teams work again with Tevin Coleman, Matt Breida (ankle) and Jeff Wilson occupying the top three spots on the RB depth chart.

----------

Cam Newton (QB) CAR - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430221
Coach Ron Rivera confirmed Monday that Newton (foot) wouldn't be cleared to start Week 9 against the Titans, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. "We've got to make sure he's ready,'' Rivera said of Newton. "The last update I got more so than anything else is he's going through his rehab. We'll see. Right now, we're going into this game with Kyle [Allen] as the starter."
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While Rivera didn't rule Newton out from returning to practice this week, the franchise quarterback unsurprisingly will be sidelined for a sixth straight game while he continues to work back from a Lisfranc injury. Allen has been mostly impressive while guiding the Panthers to four wins in five starts in Newton's absence, but he endured his worst showing to date in Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers, completing only 19 of 37 passes for 158 yards and tossing three interceptions.

----------

DeVante Parker (WR) MIA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430329
Parker caught six of eight targets for 59 yards during Monday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Parker has now either eclipsed 50 receiving yards or scored a touchdown in seven of eight contests this season. The 2015 first-round pick has also led the team in targets for two consecutive weeks. He and Preston Williams are operating as the clear top options in Miami's aerial attack, and Parker's consistency makes him worth legitimate fantasy consideration in deeper formats.

----------

Zach Pascal (WR) IND - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430241
Pascal had just one reception for six yards on two targets in Sunday's win over Denver. He also had two kickoff returns for 76 yards, including a 47-yard return.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: After a career-best game the prior week where he had 106 yards receiving and two touchdowns, Pascal didn't have much impact other than special teams. Pascal was a starting receiver in a three-wideout set with T.Y. Hilton and Chester Rogers and played the second most snaps to Hilton (59 snaps to Hilton's 60 snaps). However, like earlier in the season, that high snap count hasn't always translated into many targets.

----------

Dante Pettis (WR) SF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430106
Pettis had one reception on three targets for five yards in Sunday's 51-13 win over the Panthers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 24-year-old was bumped out of the starting lineup in favor of rookie Deebo Samuel for the first time since Week 2. It is no secret that Pettis has been a colossal disappointment in his sophomore season. From having his motivation questioned by his head coach in the preseason, to poor statistical results despite technically being a starter (10 catches for 88 yards and a touchdown over seven games), there isn't a positive takeaway from his 2019 campaign so far. In fact, following the acquisition of Emmanuel Sanders earlier this week, there was a report that Pettis could be dealt before Tuesday's trade deadline, according to NFL Insider Adam Caplan. A trade to a more pass-happy offense could be the recipe he needs to tap back into the potential the 2018 second-round pick displayed last season, but if he sticks in San Francisco, Pettis will not carry much fantasy value heading into Thursday's matchup against the Cardinals.

----------

Chester Rogers (WR) IND - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430246
Rogers had one reception for seven yards on two targets in Sunday's win over Denver.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Rogers started as the slot receiver as the Colts opened in a three-receiver set and played on 40 of the offense's 64 snaps. However, that didn't translate into a large workload on a day when the Colts completed just 15 passes. Rogers looks set to remain as the third receiver but could face increased competition from Parris Campbell with Campbell returning after missing three weeks with an abdominal injury.

----------

Mason Rudolph (QB) PIT - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430333
Rudolph completed 20 of 36 passes for 251 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in Monday's 27-14 win over the Dolphins.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Looking rusty after returning from a concussion suffered in Pittsburgh's Week 4 overtime loss to Baltimore, Rudolph's first pass of the game was intercepted by Xavien Howard. Rudolph continued to struggle and had a second interception reversed and ruled incomplete on the next offensive series. Trailing 14-0 after one quarter Pittsburgh got things going on offense, including a 45-yard touchdown pass to Diontae Johnson and a 26-yard touchdown pass to JuJu Smith-Schuster. The Steelers have now won three of their last four games after starting the season 0-3 but face a tough Indianapolis team that has held opponents to an average of just 16 points in their last three games in Week 9.

----------

Matt Ryan (QB) ATL - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430225
Coach Dan Quinn said Monday that he expects Ryan (ankle) to be a "full go" following the Falcons' Week 9 bye, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: For the first time in a decade, Ryan was unable to start in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Seahawks while nursing the sprained right ankle, paving the way for understudy Matt Schaub to receive the nod. Considering Ryan was able to practice in a limited fashion Friday, the Falcons never seemed fearful he would be in store for a lengthy absence. Quinn confirmed as much Monday, stating that the 34-year-old probably would be able to play if the Falcons had a game Week 9. The bye week nonetheless comes at a convenient time for Ryan, who has a real chance at entering the Nov. 10 game against the Saints minus an injury designation entirely.

----------

Deebo Samuel (WR) SF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430104
Samuel caught all three of his targets for 19 yards Sunday, and he also rushed twice for 29 yards and a touchdown in a 51-13 win over Carolina.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Samuel had a quiet day as a receiver, but he was able to do some damage as a runner. Coach Kyle Shanahan dialed up the same jet sweep play for his rookie wideout on both carries, and Samuel cut his second attempt back inside and hit paydirt for the second time in six games. Usual starter Marquise Goodwin missed Sunday's contest for personal reasons, so new acquisition Emmanuel Sanders took his spot in the starting lineup, but it was Samuel -- and not Dante Pettis -- who started opposite the veteran. The latter had started every game he has been healthy for up until this point, so this could signal a change in the depth chart moving forward. It will be interesting to see who ends up starting alongside Sanders against the Cardinals on Thursday (assuming Goodwin is available), but it appears that Samuel will occupy one of the three primary WR slots.

----------

Jaylen Samuels (RB) PIT - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430265
Samuels (knee) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Dolphins, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With the Steelers electing to hold Samuels out for another game even though he practiced fully this past week, Benny Snell will continue to serve as James Conner's top backup Monday night.

----------

Miles Sanders (RB) PHI - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430143
Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Sanders (shoulder) is "gonna be OK" and is being viewed as day-to-day after X-rays cleared the running back of any structural damage, Daniel Gallen of The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While Pederson's comments offer assurance that Sanders avoided a major injury in Sunday's win over the Bills, it's worth noting that the coach tends to throw around the "day-to-day" terminology liberally. With that in mind, more clarity on Sanders' outlook for the Week 9 game against the Bears probably won't come until the Eagles have a chance to evaluate him in practices Wednesday through Friday. If Sanders is sidelined next weekend, the Eagles could be forced to lean more heavily on Boston Scott as the top change-of-pace option behind Jordan Howard.

----------

Jordan Scarlett (RB) CAR - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430118
Scarlett rushed four times for nine yards in Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Scarlett's carries all came on Carolina's final offensive drive when the game result was already long past being decided. The rookie played only those four snaps on offense, trailing fellow tailback Reggie Bonnafon's 12, as both continue to be used very sparingly behind superstar Christian McCaffrey.

----------

Boston Scott (RB) PHI - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430288
Scott rushed five times for six yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 win over Buffalo. He also lost a fumble.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Scott gained two-thirds of his yards on his first touch of the game, a scoring run up the middle that made it 24-13 in the third quarter. After the defense forced a Buffalo three-and-out on the next possession, he muffed the ensuing punt, keeping the Bills in the contest momentarily. The team went back to the 24-year-old for mop-up duty after they had salted the game away with another touchdown, but he lost yards or was tackled for no gain on three of them. In all, the sixth-round pick from 2018 played just nine snaps on offense and probably has at most one more week of playing time left with Darren Sproles (quad) due to return to practice this week.

----------

Ricky Seals-Jones (TE) CLE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430311
Seals-Jones was untargeted over 31 snaps in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots in Week 8.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Seals-Jones was the position leader in snaps for the second straight week, followed by Pharaoh Brown (29) and Demetrius Harris (13). He's blipped on the radar a couple of times this season, most recently catching three passes on six targets with a 31-yard touchdown in Week 6. He also had an 82-yard game with a score in Week 4's romp over the Ravens. The Browns don't have a tight end in the top 50 in receptions, but a Cleveland tight end has accounted for five of quarterback Baker Mayfield's six touchdowns. At some point, David Njoku (wrist) could return to dominate the position, but that won't happen until Week 12 at the earliest.

----------

Trent Sherfield (WR) ARZ - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430244
Sherfield (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Sherfield was the Cardinals' second-most utilized outside receiver during Sunday's 31-9 loss at New Orleans, earning a 53 percent share of the offensive snaps. He ranked behind Damiere Byrd (88 percent) and ahead of Andy Isabella (two percent while KeeSean Johnson was inactive, but the workload didn't amount to any production, as Sherfield was unable to gather in either of his targets. With a knee injury in tow, Sherfield's availability now is in question ahead of Thursday's divisional matchup with the 49ers.

----------

JuJu Smith-Schuster (WR) PIT - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430337
Smith-Schuster caught five passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-14 win over the Dolphins.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: No Pittsburgh receiver was happier to have Mason Rudolph back under center than Smith-Schuster, who saw a season-high nine targets and had his first 100-yard game in 2019. His touchdown came on an impressive catch of an underthrown pass off the top of the defensive back's helmet to give Pittsburgh their first lead of the game. Smith-Schuster entered the contest averaging less than 57 yards per game but has now scored twice in his last three games. He faces a difficult challenge in Week 9 against an Indianapolis defense that has not allowed opposing wide receivers to catch more than one touchdown in a game this season.

----------

Willie Snead (WR) BAL - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430272
Snead agreed to a one-year, $6 million extension Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The deal is fully guaranteed and locks Snead into the 2020 campaign with the Ravens. He's proved to be a solid fit with Lamar Jackson, reeling in 15 of 22 targets for 223 yards and two touchdowns in seven games this season. Those numbers aren't eye-popping, but they are decent enough in a run-based offense, and behind more explosive options like tight end Mark Andrews and rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown (ankle).

----------

Benny Snell (RB) PIT - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430336
Snell ran for 13 yards on five carries in Monday's 27-14 win over the Dolphins.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With Jaylen Samuels (knee) inactive it was all James Conner (150 total yards and a touchdown), leaving Snell to pick-up scraps. Conner was seen with his right shoulder in a sling after the game, which could give Snell an opportunity for a larger role in the coming weeks. Monitor Conner's status, but even if Snell sees more touches fantasy owners should temper their expectations for Week 9 against a Colts defense that allows an average of just 85.6 rushing yards per game, has not allowed an opposing running back to run for more than 88 yards this season, and has yielded just one rushing touchdown to a running back in their last five games.

----------

Diontae Spencer (WR) DEN - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430278
Spencer caught both of his targets for 22 total yards and added a five-yard rush during Sunday's 15-13 loss in Indianapolis. He also had 39 yards on a pair of kick returns and 22 yards on three punt returns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Spencer's three touches aren't bad when you consider that he only saw the field for seven offensive snaps. The CFL alum and starting returner showed a little wiggle with the ball in his hands on a 20-yard catch-and-run in the first quarter. Spencer's size probably makes him more of a gadget player than anything else, but he should definitely see a handful of touches per game as Denver otherwise doesn't have much speed at receiver following the trade of Emmanuel Sanders.

----------

Darren Sproles (RB) PHI - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430156
Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that he expects Sproles (quadriceps) to practice "a little bit" during Week 9, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Even if Sproles only practices on a limited basis this week, that activity would still represent a step forward after he hadn't practiced in any capacity since sustaining the quad injury in Week 5 against the Jets. The Eagles haven't formally ruled Sproles out for the Week 9 matchup with the Bears, but the team is more realistically eyeing him for a return to action following its Week 10 bye.

----------

Eric Tomlinson (TE) NE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430155
Tomlinson was on the field for 31 of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Tomlinson was not targeted in the game and currently is off the fantasy radar in his role behind Ben Watson. Additionally, his workload figures to take a hit once Ryan Izzo (concussion) and/or Matt LaCosse (knee) are able to return to action.

----------

Mitchell Trubisky (QB) CHI - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430289
The Bears will continue starting Trubisky, though the team expects to see improvement soon, Patrick FInley of the Chicago Sun TImes reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Coach Matt Nagy explained that Trubisky has time to turn things around this season, and he noted that his quaterback is still learning the offense, though if the mistakes continue, the staff will be forced to make some tough decisions. Obviously, Trubisky hasn't been a solid fantasy option this year, as he's thrown touchdown passes in just two games while his rushing yardage has mostly evaporated from what he produced in 2018. Should he eventually lose the starting job, Chase Daniel would be a slight upgrade for fantasy owners. For now, Trubisky's downside makes him a risky player to trust in fantasy lineups.

----------

Mark Walton (RB) MIA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430327
Walton carried the ball 11 times for 35 yards and fumbled once during Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers. He also caught three of six targets for 19 yards.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Rumors of Kalen Ballage drawing the start were greatly exaggerated, as he saw just three carries while Walton logged 11. Following the trade of Kenyan Drake to the Cardinals, Walton still appears firmly entrenched as the No. 1 option in Miami's backfield. However, game flow didn't work out in the second-year pro's favor versus Pittsburgh, as the Dolphins spent the second half of the contest playing catch up. That's a pattern that could continue to play out for Walton (and the winless Miami offense) this season, but he at least has a solid matchup against the Jets' porous defense coming up Week 9.

----------

James Washington (WR) PIT - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430348
Washington had one reception for 21 yards in Monday's 27-14 win over the Dolphins.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: This was a game to forget for Washington who was targeted six times and now has just 10 catches on 27 targets for 161 yards and no touchdowns this season. At this point there is little reason to roster him except in deep fantasy leagues heading into Pittsburgh's Week 9 clash with Indianapolis.

----------

Sammy Watkins (WR) KC - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430312
Watkins reeled in five of his eight targets for 45 yards during Sunday's game against the Packers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Watkins' stay on the sideline lasted the better part of three games, but the Chiefs' receiving corps is now firing on all cylinders. All that awaits them is the return of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, which could come as soon as next Sunday versus the Vikings. Watkins has turned in mediocre outings across the board since his Week 1 explosion, but perhaps having all of the team's offensive weapons back will benefit him. Watkins logged 86 percent of the offensive snaps Sunday, compared to 92-plus percent in each of the first four games, so he may see additional run in his second game back from injury next week.

----------

Ben Watson (TE) NE - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430153
Watson was on the field for 48 of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns, en route to catching his only target for 26 yards.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Though Watson is the team's top pass-catching option at tight end these days, it's not a role that figures to yield consistent fantasy production in the post-Rob Gronkowski era.

----------

J.J. Watt (DE) HOU - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430115
Watt (pectoral) will have season-ending surgery this week, with his recovery time estimated at four months, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Watt suffered a torn pectoral in Sunday's 27-24 win over Oakland, thus finishing his season with 24 tackles (15 solo) and four sacks in eight games. It's a huge loss for a Texans defense that already has been struggling to generate a pass rush, ranking 24th in sack rate (5.2 percent) and 26th in pressure rate (17.9 percent). Watt's injury should open up more snaps for Carlos Watkins and Charles Omenihu.

----------

Jordan Wilkins (RB) IND - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430239
Wilkins had two carries for five yards in Sunday's win over Denver.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wilkins played just six snaps on offense as he had a limited reserve role. Wilkins isn't likely to get many touches per game as long as Marlon Mack is healthy.

----------

Leonard Williams (DE) NYG - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430152
The Giants acquired Williams from the Jets on Monday in exchange for a 2020 third-round draft pick and a fifth-round selection in 2021, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 2015 first-round pick has seen his performance decline steadily since he posted 68 tackles and seven sacks in his second NFL campaign, but the Giants will see if a change in scenery can help him rediscover the promising form he showed earlier in his career. Williams should step into the starting lineup right away in the Giants' Week 9 game against the Cowboys, giving the organization a half of a season with to evaluate him for a potential contract extension before he hits free agency next March.

----------

Luke Willson (TE) SEA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430117
Willson caught his only target for seven yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Falcons.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Willson is clearly the Seahawks' top tight end with Will Dissly (Achilles) out of the picture, as he garnered 43 of 61 offensive snaps (70 percent). However, neither Willson or Jacob Hollister (two catches for 18 yards) have made a real impact as a receiving option yet.

----------

Albert Wilson (WR) MIA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430334
Wilson caught one of two targets for five yards and a touchdown during Monday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wilson's first score of the season came via a connection with Ryan Fitzpatrick early in the first quarter. The shifty slot receiver has now gone two consecutive games with just two targets, but it's at least encouraging to see him receiving looks in the red zone. Wilson will be a risky fantasy option against the Jets in Week 9, but he could have appeal in deep leagues.

----------

Jeff Wilson (RB) SF - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430256
Wilson (stinger) wasn't listed on Monday's estimated injury report, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wilson exited Sunday's win over the Panthers to be evaluated for a head injury, though it was later clarified to be a stinger. The 49ers have a short week of preparation for Thursday's game against the Cardinals, so the fact he isn't listed at all with the short turnaround indicates he's fully clear of the injury.

----------

Robert Woods (WR) LA - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430200
Woods caught both his targets for 31 yards and rushed four times for six yards during Sunday's 24-10 win over Cincinnati.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Woods was overshadowed by Cooper Kupp's seven-catch, 220-yard showing, and it was also No. 4 receiver Josh Reynolds who benefited most from Brandin Cooks exiting with a concussion. Reynolds turned his eight targets into three receptions, 73 yards and a touchdown. Woods has struggled to make a fantasy impact this year, as he's been held below 80 receiving yards in six of eight games and is still looking for his first touchdown.

----------

Jarius Wright (WR) CAR - Oct. 28
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430121
Wright caught two of four targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wright was actually carted off with a leg injury during the second half, but ultimately was able to return to action, easing concern over his status. Besides that scare, Wright put up a relatively standard stat line for himself, as he's caught more than two passes only once this season. Despite his return Sunday, it could be worthwhile to see whether he's listed on the injury report this week. If he is, DeAndrew White and Brandon Zylstra could compete for additional snaps.

Mondays MEGA player News

Player News for Monday, 28 October 2019....

--------
Adams (toe) is inactive for Sunday's contest in Kansas City, Jason Wahlers of the Packers' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Adams got back on the field this week, but despite some light jogging and even catching passes Friday, he was listed as a non-participant on every Week 8 injury report. Ultimately, his designation of "doubtful" forecast a fourth consecutive absence, but Adam Schefter noted Adams likely will return to action next Sunday against the Chargers in L.A. For one more week, though, Marquez Valdes-Scantling will lead a Packers receiving corps that otherwise includes Jimmy Graham, Geronimo Allison, Allen Lazard and Jake Kumerow.

----------

Keenan Allen (WR) LAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429927
Allen (hamstring) caught seven of his 10 targets for 53 yards in the 17-16 win Sunday over the Bears.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While head coach Anthony Lynn suggested the team would limit Allen's workload were he able to play Sunday, that quickly proved not to be the case, as the 27-year-old saw three of the first five pass attempts of the game. Allen's numbers were fairly pedestrian considering the Bears' increasing focus on covering underneath routes, but the two-time Pro Bowler likely should have a touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter on an excellent deep pass, only for the sure-handed receiver to simply drop it, setting up what would be a 42-yard missed field goal. Allen figures to be in a better spot come next week when he faces a Packers' defense that has proven to be susceptible to the pass in recent weeks.

----------

Josh Allen (QB) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429948
Allen completed 16 of 34 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Eagles. He also rushed eight times for 45 yards and fumbled three times, losing one.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Allen delivered a 14-yard touchdown pass to Cole Beasley early in the second quarter and found Devin Singletary out of the backfield for a 28-yard score in the third, but he was otherwise inaccurate. Most of Allen's fantasy value lies in his legs, but it's worrisome that the previously vulnerable Eagles pass defense was able to limit him through the air. Allen hasn't thrown for more than 219 yards in any of his last four games, but he gets a nice opportunity to end the run of poor play when the Redskins come to town in Week 9.

----------

Kyle Allen (QB) CAR - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430038
Allen completed 19 of 37 pass attempts for 158 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions during Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 23-year-old quarterback entered the contest ranking third in NFL history with 153 pass attempts to begin his career without committing an interception. Allen threw a pick on Carolina's third offensive drive, falling just short of Tom Brady's No. 2 all-time mark of 162 and providing San Francisco with its first takeaway of the day. The young signal-caller also absorbed an astronomical seven sacks, though he was able to avoid adding to his already-high total of four lost fumbles (second worst in the NFL coming into Sunday). Upcoming in Week 9 is a more forgiving matchup against a Titans defense that accounts for 1.5 fewer sacks per game than do the 49ers.

----------

Robby Anderson (WR) NYJ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430004
Anderson caught four of six targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 29-15 loss to Jacksonville.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With trade rumors swirling around him, Anderson delivered a mediocre performance in what could end up being his final game as a Jet. With New York now 1-6, don't be surprised to see the speedy wide receiver dealt to a more fantasy-friendly situation before Tuesday's trade deadline, as New York would rather get something for the pending free agent rather than let him walk for free at season's end. If Anderson remains with the Jets, he'd get a juicy Week 9 matchup against Miami.

----------

Dan Arnold (TE) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430043
Arnold secured two of three targets for 25 yards in the Saints' 31-9 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Arnold got in some additional snaps with Jared Cook (ankle) out, but he's clearly behind Josh Hill on the depth chart, limiting his already-meager upside. Arnold isn't more than a deep-league TE2 at this point.

----------

Saquon Barkley (RB) NYG - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430036
Barkley carried 19 times for 64 yards while catching eight of 10 targets for 79 yards and another score during Sunday's 31-26 loss to the Lions.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Barkley struggled to run the ball for the second straight game, averaging just 3.4 yards per carry against a respectable Lions front. He made up for it by nearly doubling his receiving yardage total for the season and adding a four-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. Although Barkley's ankle injury disrupted his start to the campaign, he has exceeded 130 scrimmage yards three times in five appearances while adding three total touchdowns. His next opportunity to contribute will come in a Week 9 Monday night matchup at home against the Cowboys.

----------

Cole Beasley (WR) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429973
Beasley caught three of seven targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 loss to Philadelphia.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Beasley hauled in a 14-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He's found the end zone in consecutive games but has exactly three receptions in each of his last three games after totaling 24 catches in his first four games with the Bills. The slot receiver will be looking to stretch his touchdown streak to three games in Week 9 against a Redskins defense that's surrendering 24.4 points per game.

----------

Odell Beckham (WR) CLE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430060
Beckham caught five of seven targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: He once again took a back seat to Jarvis Landry in the Cleveland passing game, although Landry needed three more targets for gain only 13 more yards on the day. Beckham hasn't found the end zone since Week 2 and the Browns' general offensive dysfunction has made his week-to-week production erratic, but the former Giant is still on pace for the fifth 1000-yard campaign in his six-year career.

----------

Le'Veon Bell (RB) NYJ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429926
Bell rushed nine times for 23 yards and caught three of five targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 29-15 loss to Jacksonville.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: This was a clunker from Bell, who had neither volume nor effectiveness on his side. Bell set a new season-low for touches, having previously recorded no fewer than 15 in any game as a Jet. On the bright side, Bell gets an ideal opportunity to bounce back in Week 9 against the lowly Dolphins.

----------

Tyler Boyd (WR) CIN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430021
Boyd caught six of nine targets for 65 yards and added a three-yard run during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Rams.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Boyd came up with some heroics late in the fourth quarter, with Cincinnati facing fourth-and-long and behind two scores. The Pitt product split between defenders and came up with the 18-yard grab to convert. The Bengals failed to convert on fourth down again later in the drive. With A.J. Green (ankle) on the sidelines thus far this season, Boyd has been fed with at least six targets in every game and double-digit targets in five of eight contests. That hasn't translated much in the stat sheet as Boyd has topped 70 yards just twice and scored just once. Next up, after the bye, is a Ravens defense that held Boyd to a season-low 10 yards in Week 6.

----------

Tom Brady (QB) NE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430065
Brady completed 20 of 36 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 42-year-old found his favorite target, Julian Edelman, for both scores, and he avoided throwing an INT for the first time since Week 3. Through eight games, Brady is on pace for only 26 TDs, which would be his lowest total since 2013, but he is still headed for his 11th career 4000-yard campaign. He'll get arguably his first tough test of the year in Week 9 when he leads the unbeaten Patriots into Baltimore.

----------

Cameron Brate (TE) TB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429976
Brate hauled in three of six targets for 32 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-23 loss to the Titans on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Brate drew the start for O.J. Howard (hamstring), but that didn't actually equate to any appreciable bump in production. The veteran tight end only was a secondary figure in a game where Mike Evans and Chris Godwin served as the targets on 20 of Jameis Winston's 43 pass attempts, and Brate also was partly a victim of Winston's generally poor play. Brate would revert to the No. 2 tight end role should Howard be healthy enough to suit up Week 9 against the Seahawks.

----------

Drew Brees (QB) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429924
Brees (thumb) completed 34 of 43 passes for 373 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in the Saints' 31-9 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: As his final line implies, Brees' return was a rousing success, and despite it being his first game since Week 2, coach Sean Payton showed no hesitation in letting his star quarterback air it out early and often. Brees showed his connection with Michael Thomas was as healthy as ever by connecting with his star wideout on 11 occasions, and he managed to hook up with nine different pass catchers on the afternoon overall. According to John Hendrix of WDSU-TV, Brees wore a hard plastic splint on the thumb Sunday and doesn't expect any residual soreness Monday, given how careful he was in his rehab. Brees will look to return even healthier Week 10 against the Falcons following the Saints' bye week.

----------

Matt Breida (RB) SF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429985
Brieda suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's game versus the Panthers, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Just before halftime, Brieda was visibly shaken up and slowly made his way to the locker room, according to Maiocco. Considering Tevin Coleman scored three TDs in the first half, the 49ers probably can make due without Breida for the rest of the afternoon. No matter, if Brieda is unable to return, he'll end Week 8 with 11 carries for 35 yards and one reception (on one target) for 15 yards.

----------

Jacoby Brissett (QB) IND - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429919
Brissett completed 15 of 25 passes for 202 yards during Sunday's 15-13 win over Denver. He added 34 yards on six carries and lost a fumble during the contest.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Back on his own 10-yard line with less than two minutes to get into field-goal range, Brissett slipped out of a would-be Von Miller sack and rolled out to complete a dart to T.Y. Hilton for a gain of 35 yards to kickstart the winning drive. Brissett had probably his worst statistical game of the season Sunday against a very tough Denver pass defense, but he still found a way to make it work. Brissett has scored multiple times in five of seven games and has done well protecting the ball. Indianapolis still typically leans heaviest on its running game and defense, but Brissett has developed as an impressive maestro when needed. Next up for the emerging quarterback is an improving Steelers defense in Week 9.

----------

John Brown (WR) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429958
Brown caught five of eight targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Eagles.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Brown led the team in targets, catches and receiving yards, but owners had to have been hoping for more against an Eagles defense that was the worst in the league at defending wide receivers coming in. The 29-year-old receiver should be commended for establishing a high floor despite having the inaccurate Josh Allen throwing him the ball, as Brown has managed to top 50 yards in every game this season. He shouldn't have a problem keeping that streak going against the Redskins in Week 9.

----------

Rex Burkhead (RB) NE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429892
Burkhead (foot) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Burkhead's return to action pushes rookie Damien Harris to the inactive list. With Sony Michel serving as the Patriots' lead back and James White entrenched as a change-of-pace/pass-catching option, Burkhead profiles as a versatile complement in the team's offense, a role that makes his weekly volume difficult to peg so long as Michel and White remain healthy.

----------

Trey Burton (TE) CHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429975
Burton caught one pass for 16 yard in the Bears' 17-16 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Aside from his only reception, Burton was targeted in the corner of the end zone, but the pass was uncatchable. He's yet to surpass 20 yards in a game this season, and his lack of upside makes him an uninspiring fantasy option.

----------

Deon Cain (WR) IND - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429808
Cain (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Broncos.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Despite boasting full health, Cain won't factor into Indianapolis' plans on offense Week 8. Over the last five games, the second-year pro has turned 10 targets into just two receptions for 17 yards. His absence could allow Zach Pascal, Chester Rogers and Parris Campbell to see increased offensive snaps.

----------

Parris Campbell (WR) IND - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429795
Campbell (abdomen) is active for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Campbell received the green light to return from a three-week absence after he was able to practice on a limited basis Wednesday through Friday. Due to the time Campbell missed, it wouldn't be surprising if the Colts eased the wideout back into the mix Sunday with a more modest snap count. Campbell peaked at a 63-percent snap share the last time he suited up Week 4 versus Oakland, catching five of eight targets for 25 yards in that contest.

----------

Derek Carr (QB) OAK - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430069
Carr completed 18 of 30 pass attempts for 285 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Texans.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Although Carr completed just 60 percent of his attempts, he averaged a healthy 9.5 yards per completion with the help of some big plays. He got his team on the board with a 65-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Renfrow in the first quarter and later added a 46-yard strike to Tyrell Williams, with an eight-yard score from Darren Waller sandwiched in between. Carr has been quite productive in two games since the bye week, totaling 578 passing yards with five touchdowns and one interception. He'll look to keep it rolling in another favorable matchup against the Lions at home next Sunday.

----------

Tra Carson (RB) DET - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430075
Carson carried 12 times for 34 yards during Sunday's 31-26 win over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: In the absence of Kerryon Johnson (knee), Carson stepped up to lead the team in carries. Ty Johnson, Paul Perkins, and J.D. McKissic combined for 28 yards on 11 carries, leaving plenty to be desired from the running game in a favorable matchup. With Johnson slated to miss most of the remaining regular-season action, the team should continue to deploy a committee out of the backfield, though they also seem likely to lean even more on the passing game to move the ball. Carson could very well lead the team in carries in next week's road game against the Raiders, but a tough matchup could limit his usage.

----------

Chris Carson (RB) SEA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429925
Carson rushed 20 times for 90 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Falcons.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: In a fifth straight game with 20 or more carries, Carson produced well with 4.5 YPC, although he failed to haul in his only target. It's a positive sign that he still managed to be a workhorse despite Rashaad Penny finally coming to life by turning eight carries into 55 yards (6.9 YPC). Now that Penny's healthy, Carson will need to stay on top of his game to avoid losing touches, but his fantasy value should be safe as long as he's producing like this. Carson will look to keep it going in Week 9 against the Buccaneers.

----------

D.J. Chark (WR) JAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429994
Chark caught six of 12 targets for 79 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-15 win over the Jets.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Chark sealed the win with an eight-yard touchdown inside of five minutes to play. The touchdown was Chark's sixth of the season and first since Week 5. He also led the team in catches and targets. Up next for Chark is a Week 9 rematch with a Texans team against which he produced 55 yards and a touchdown back in Week 2.

----------

Nick Chubb (RB) CLE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430058
Chubb carried the ball 20 times for 131 yards and caught his only target for seven yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: His final numbers were good, but Chubb fumbled the ball twice in the first quarter, helping to dig a 17-0 hole the Browns couldn't climb out of. The second-year back has topped 100 rushing yards in three of the last four games, giving him plenty of momentum heading into next week's game in Denver.

----------

Charles Clay (TE) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429993
Clay secured all three of his targets for 88 yards in the Cardinals' 31-9 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: A big chunk of Clay's surprising yardage haul came on a game-high 47-yard grab on Arizona's first drive. The veteran tight end typically is a minimal part of the offense, and even on Sunday, he logged only three looks overall. Therefore, Clay's breakout is very likely an outlier that he'd be challenged to replicate against the 49ers in a Week 9 Thursday night matchup.

----------

Tarik Cohen (RB) CHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429970
Cohen rushed four times for nine yards and caught three passes for 37 yards in Chicago's 17-16 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With this game being close throughout, the Bears were able to commit to David Montgomery as the primary running back, which kept Cohen from seeing more than three targets. He did most of his damage when lined up as a slot receiver, and catching a 31-yard pass down the seam to move the offense into scoring position. He's yet to rush for 20 yards in a game this season while reaching 40 receiving yards just a single time, and aside from averaging six receptions per contest, he's been a low-upside fantasy option in 2019.

----------

Tevin Coleman (RB) SF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430047
Coleman carried the ball 11 times for 105 yards and three touchdowns and caught both his targets for 13 yards and a fourth TD in Sunday's 51-13 rout of the Panthers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The running back scored three straight TDs in the late first and second quarters, the last on a 48-yard run, before capping his huge day with a one-yard plunge to close out the third quarter. The former Falcon now has six touchdowns through only five games this season along with 393 scrimmage yards, and with Matt Breida injuring his ankle Sunday, Coleman could be headed for a bigger workload next week against the Cardinals.

----------

Chris Conley (WR) JAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429992
Cnley caught four of seven targets for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-15 win over the Jets.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Conley ripped off a 70-yard touchdown in the first quarter for his first trip to the end zone since Week 1. The big-play receiver has heated back up after a slump, topping 80 yards in consecutive games following a four-week stretch in which he totaled just 73 yards. Conley will look to keep rolling in Week 9 against the Texans.

----------

Brandin Cooks (WR) LA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429866
Cooks won't return to Sunday's game against the Bengals in London due to a concussion, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: On the receiving end of a helmet-to-helmet hit in the first quarter, Cooks went to the locker with the Rams' medical staff and was ruled out shortly thereafter, finishing Week 8 without a catch. Josh Reynolds will take on an elevated role in the offense as long as Cooks is sidelined.

----------

Jamison Crowder (WR) NYJ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430008
Crowder caught three of five targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 29-15 loss to Jacksonville.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Crowder made a great first impression with a 14-catch Jets debut, and he topped 90 yards in both the season opener and New York's Week 6 win over Dallas. The slot receiver has been a non-factor outside of those games, however, failing to top 40 yards in any other contest and still searching for his first touchdown in green and white. If you're thinking of cutting bait on Crowder, it could be wise to give him one more chance, as he'll face the Dolphins in Week 9.

----------

Andy Dalton (QB) CIN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430013
Dalton completed 32 of 52 passes for 329 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Rams.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With the Bengals down by two scores and chasing points midway through the fourth quarter, Dalton stood in pocket at delivered an 18-yard strike to Tyler Boyd for a fourth-and-long conversion. The Bengals ended up turning the ball over on downs anyhow. That kind of encapsulates as season in which little has gone right for Dalton and the winless Bengals. Dalton has more games with multiple turnovers (four) than multiple touchdown passes (three) and, though he's been a solid option on the ground with three touchdowns, he just hasn't been able to overcome life without A.J. Green (ankle). Next up after the bye is a Ravens team that held Dalton to 237 total yards, a rushing touchdown, and a pick in Week 6.

----------

Sam Darnold (QB) NYJ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430001
Darnold completed 21 of 30 passes for 218 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 29-15 loss to the Jaguars. He also threw a two-point conversion and lost a yard on his lone rushing attempt.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Darnold's first two drives were a mixed bag, as he opened with a 24-yard touchdown to Ryan Griffin but was intercepted on the next possession. He found Griffin again for a three-yard score early in the fourth, adding a two-point conversion to the tight end to bring his team back within a touchdown, but Darnold proceeded to throw interceptions on New York's next two possessions. This wasn't a pretty effort, but in fairness to Darnold, his offensive line was manhandled by Jacksonville's superb defensive line. The second-year quarterback was sacked eight times and could never get comfortable in the pocket, plus he sprained his thumb early in the game. After throwing seven interceptions in his last two games, a Week 9 matchup with the Dolphins could be just what the doctor ordered for Darnold.

----------

Corey Davis (WR) TEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429941
Davis caught two of six targets for nine receiving yards during Sunday's 27-23 win against the Buccaneers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 24-year-old wideout was dealing with an illness leading into a Week 8 matchup against Tampa Bay's 32nd-ranked pass defense, perhaps explaining why he was unable to make any sort of substantial impact despite facing a somewhat lenient opponent. Davis' first start alongside Ryan Tannehill in Week 7 was extremely encouraging, as he racked up six catches for 80 yards and a touchdown, but in Week 8 he was contained to fewer than 40 receiving yards for the third time in his past four outings. Upcoming next is a matchup against a Panthers team that entered the weekend as one of the NFL's eight best pass defenses with just 225 yards allowed per game through the air.

----------

Keelan Doss (WR) OAK - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429902
Doss (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 8 tilt against the Texans.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With Tyrell Williams (foot) back in action Sunday, Doss will lose the active status he'd enjoyed in every other game this season. Doss' status is somewhat surprising given he'd performed well in a Week 7 loss to the Packers (3-54-0 on five targets), but recent trade acquisition Zay Jones' availability appears to have played a part in bumping Doss from the game-day roster.

----------

Jack Doyle (TE) IND - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429932
Doyle caught four of five passes for 61 yards during Sunday's 15-13 win over Denver. He fumbled once, but it was recovered by the offense.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: In what was a defensive slugfest, Doyle ended up being a difference maker, leading the Colts with 61 receiving yards, his highest total of the season. Doyle has been a solid underneath contributor for Indy with at least three catches in five consecutive games, but his 10.0 yards per catch and one touchdown on the season probably make him less valuable for fantasy purposes than he is for his team. Next up is a middle-of-the-road Steelers pass defense.

----------

Kenyan Drake (RB) MIA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429872
The Dolphins have agreed in principle to a trade involving Drake, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: This news confirms why the running back didn't accompany the Dolphins to Pittsburgh for Monday night's game against the Steelers. It hasn't yet been revealed which team Drake will be headed to, but per the report, an agreement on that front was arrived at Saturday night. Thought to be among his possible destinations are Tennessee and Detroit. With Drake in line to be on the move, Miami's backfield is now slated to be be led by Mark Walton, with Kalen Ballage in reserve and Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin candidates to serve as the team's No. 3 back.

----------

Eric Ebron (TE) IND - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429937
Ebron caught three of four targets for 26 total yards during Sunday's 15-13 win over Denver.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Coming off Week 7's season-best game, Ebron was kept relatively quiet in Sunday's defensive matchup. Ebron has topped three catches or gone for over 50 yards just once this season, both in Week 7. When he's not scoring, and he's tied for second on the team with three touchdowns, he's not contributing enough in yards or catches to be a strong performance. Next up Sunday is an improving Steelers pass defense.

----------

Julian Edelman (WR) NE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430063
Edelman caught eight of 11 targets for a team-high 78 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Despite the addition of Mohamed Sanu this week, Edelman remained Tom Brady's primary target, as he led the Pats in catches, yards and targets while being the only New England offensive player to reach the end zone. The veteran slot receiver now has four TDs on the year -- three shy of his career high -- and through eight games, he's on pace for his first 1,000-yard campaign since 2016, and his first 100-catch season since 2013.

----------

Chase Edmonds (RB) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429918
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said there's "definitely concern" Edmonds (hamstring) won't be active Thursday against the 49ers, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Prior to Sunday's game in New Orleans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported David Johnson (ankle) was in line to sit out both Weeks 8 and 9. However, Edmonds was knocked out with a hamstring injury, so it stands to reason the Cardinals will reevaluate that stance if Edmonds is in worse shape than Johnson. Behind the pair, Zach Zenner (active Sunday) and Alfred Morris (inactive) are the healthy running backs on the Cardinals' 53-man roster.

----------

Austin Ekeler (RB) LAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429920
Ekeler tallied three carries for three yards but also caught two of his three targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the 17-16 win Sunday over the Bears.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Ekeler ultimately posted the game-winning score, catching an easy dump-off and jettisoning 11 yards into the end zone early in the fourth quarter. However he was relatively shut down otherwise, with the Bears' defense keying in on the majority of the underneath patterns throughout the contest. Ekeler continues to see a fairly substantial difference in touches compared to Melvin Gordon, with the diminutive threat posting just five compared to Gordon's 10 on Sunday. However, much of that had to do with game script, as the Chargers kept the game tight throughout.

----------

Evan Engram (TE) NYG - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430050
Engram caught four of seven targets for 40 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-26 loss to the Lions.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Engram finished third on the team in targets, and although he averaged just 10.0 yards per catch, he salvaged his day from a fantasy perspective with a two-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter. He recorded just one catch last week in a favorable matchup against Arizona, so although he was held under 55 receiving yards for the fourth straight game, this was a much more useful effort from the tight end. Engram could be utilized often next Monday against a Cowboys team he torched in the opening game of the season.

----------

Alex Erickson (WR) CIN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430018
Erickson caught six of seven targets for 97 yards during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Rams.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Erickson was bottled up for much of the afternoon before slipping past the defense for a 52-yard reception during the final minute of the game. It was Erickson's second catch for at least 45 yards in as many games after no such receptions in his first three-plus seasons in the league. There's little to look forward to for the Bengals this season, but Erickson seems to be turning up the heat, averaging seven touches and 98.7 total yards in his last three games. Next up, after the bye, is a Baltimore defense that surrendered 64 total yards to Erickson in Week 6.

----------

Zach Ertz (TE) PHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429933
Ertz caught two of four targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 31-13 win over the Bills.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Ertz set a season low in yardage for a second straight week while also watching fellow tight end Dallas Goedert score a touchdown for the second game in a row. It's too early to press the panic button on the star tight end, but a Week 9 dud from Ertz against the Bears would certainly set off alarm bells for his owners, especially if Goedert continues to outplay him.

----------

Mike Evans (WR) TB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429963
Evans secured 11 of 12 targets for 198 yards and two touchdowns in the Buccaneers' 27-23 loss to the Titans on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Evans easily led both teams with his reception, receiving yardage and target totals, as the Titans secondary consistently proved to be no match for him all afternoon. He made catches short and long throughout the contest, including a spectacular leaping 46-yard grab down the right sideline. Evans' two scores came from nine and two yards out, and he now has two multi-touchdown games on the campaign. He'll look to stay hot against the Seahawks in a Week 9 matchup.

----------

Noah Fant (TE) DEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429983
Fant caught five of eight targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 15-13 loss in Indianapolis.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: A question heading into Sunday was which Bronco would benefit from Emmanuel Sanders' trade to San Francisco. The early indications are Fant, who set season highs in catches and targets, albeit with measly yardage. Despite his unique size-speed combination, Fant is only averaging 9.8 yards per reception and has been a relative non-factor in the red zone with his only touchdown of the season coming on a 25-yard screen play in Week 4. The results may not improve much, but expect Fant to get WR2-level targets down the stretch on a Denver team without many options at receiver.

----------

Darren Fells (TE) HOU - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430076
Fells caught six of six targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-27 win over the Raiders in Week 8.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Fells was the safety valve on a pair of plays extended by quarterback Dehsau Watson's legs. It was the second multi-touchdown effort of the season, giving him a career-high five touchdowns over eight games. The 33-year-old tight end has caught all seven of his red-zone targets for 75 yards and five scores.

----------

Larry Fitzgerald (WR) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429944
Fitzgerald secured two of four targets for eight yards in the Cardinals' 31-9 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Fitzgerald was sort of a forgotten man with Christian Kirk making his return from an ankle injury. The veteran receiver now has less than 20 receiving yards in back-to-back games, and he's seen just seven targets combined over that last pair of contests after notching at least that many in five of the first six games of the campaign. Fitzgerald will look to make inroads against a tough 49ers defense in a Week 9 Thursday night battle.

----------

Joe Flacco (QB) DEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429949
Flacco completed 20 of 32 passes for 174 yards and added a nine-yard run during Sunday's 15-13 loss in Indianapolis. After the game, Flacco revealed that he has been dealing with a minor neck strain, Zac Stevens of BSNDenver.com reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: During that same press conference, Flacco seemed throw offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello under the bus for running the ball on third down and five to go with less than two minutes left in the game and Denver leading 13-12. The veteran quarterback said that he would like for Denver to play a little more aggressive, but that's been hard to do with a banged-up offensive line and immobile quarterback. Flacco has gone without a touchdown in three consecutive games and has topped 200 yards passing just once in that span. He seems destined to find the bench if and when rookie Drew Lock (thumb) is ready to go later this season.

----------

Robert Foster (WR) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429823
Foster is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Foster is back in the mix after being inactive last week, but how much action he sees Sunday likely hinges on how well No. 3 wide receiver Duke Williams holds up, given that the latter has been dealing with a shoulder injury.

----------

Leonard Fournette (RB) JAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429921
Fournette rushed 19 times for 76 yards and caught all seven of his targets for another 60 in Sunday's 29-15 win over the Jets.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Fournette ripped off a 66-yard run on his first carry, but he was bottled up the rest of the way. What was even more frustrating for fantasy owners is that Fournette's inability to convert from in close continued, highlighted by a pair of failed attempts from the 1-yard line in the fourth quarter, the second of which lost seven yards. The 24-year-old running back has 1,054 scrimmage yards but just one touchdown heading into a Week 9 clash against the AFC South rival Texans.

----------

Devonta Freeman (RB) ATL - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429968
Freeman ran for 39 yards on 13 carries and caught all eight of his targets for 63 receiving yards during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Seahawks. He also lost a fourth-quarter fumble that led to a Seattle field goal.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Atlanta's patchwork offensive line has proven incapable of opening up running lanes, as Freeman has averaged 3.0 yards per carry or worse in six of his eight outings thus far in 2019. What has salvaged a lucrative fantasy year to this point for Freeman is substantial involvement in the passing game, as the 27-year-old back has amassed an incredible 26 receptions for 211 yards and three touchdowns since Week 4. Now the veteran Freeman will be afforded a week of rest, before the Falcons return to the field Nov. 10 against a Saints defense that stifled Arizona to 40 team rushing yards in Week 8 while allowing just three combined catches and 18 yards to Cardinals running backs.

----------

Royce Freeman (RB) DEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429991
Freeman ran for 40 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries and added a five-yard catch during Sunday' 15-13 loss in Indianapolis.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Freeman capped off Denver's opening drive of the second half with a quick cut and waltzed into the end zone almost untouched for the four-yard touchdown, the team's only touchdown of the game. Freeman, after going scoreless for the first six weeks of the season, has now scored Denver's only two touchdowns of the past two games. He looks to be getting more carries down near the goal line and, though Sunday didn't show it, should be more involved in the passing game down the stretch with Emmanuel Sanders in San Francisco and few established targets on the team.

----------

Russell Gage (WR) ATL - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430089
Gage hauled in seven of nine targets for 58 receiving yards during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Seahawks.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The second-year wideout has seen his fantasy value escalate massively by virtue of Mohamed Sanu's trade to New England, as he had nine passes thrown his way after attracting eight total targets through the first seven weeks of the regular season. Given that Atlanta's defense has conceded 27-plus points in five of its past six outings, the offense is frequently throwing in the second halves up games to keep pace. Such a scenario facilitates a third fantasy-relevant option at wide receiver, and Gage appears to be the most likely suitor with Justin Hardy garnering only four targets Sunday.

----------

Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) SF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430051
Garoppolo completed 18 of 22 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 51-13 rout of the Panthers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: He didn't attempt to stretch the field much -- only two of his completions went for more than 20 yards, both to George Kittle, and Garoppolo's two TD passes combined for only 14 yards -- but he didn't need to with Tevin Coleman and the Niners' backfield running all over the Panthers defense. Garoppolo may need to take better care of the ball at some point, having been picked off in six of seven games this season, but he'll likely find himself in a caretaker role again next week against the Cardinals.

----------

Ted Ginn (WR) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429990
Ginn secured both of his targets for 42 yards in the Saints' 31-9 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Ginn played a minor role in Drew Brees' return to action, as Michael Thomas and Latavius Murray hauled in 20 of Drew Brees' 34 completions. Ginn will continue to play the big-play downfield role on the majority of weeks, with the occasional spike in receptions depending on matchup and game plan. Ginn will look to up his numbers Week 10 against the vulnerable Falcons secondary following a Week 9 bye.

----------

Chris Godwin (WR) TB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429971
Godwin hauled in four of eight targets for 43 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-23 loss to the Titans on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Godwin took a back seat to position mate Mike Evans on the afternoon, with the latter generating an eye-popping 11-198-2 line. Godwin did check in second to Evans in receptions, receiving yards and targets, but his three-game streak of 100-yard efforts was snapped. Despite the downturn Sunday, Godwin's fantasy stock naturally remains sky high heading into a favorable Week 9 matchup against the Seahawks secondary.

----------

Dallas Goedert (TE) PHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429947
Goedert secured three of five targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 win over Buffalo.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Goedert finished with more yards than fellow tight end Zach Ertz for the second straight week, and Philadelphia's No. 2 tight end has found the end zone in both games to boot. While this run has worked Goedert into the low-end TE1 range, make no mistake that Ertz is still the Eagles tight end to own. It wouldn't be surprising to see Ertz pick up the pace at Goedert's expense moving forward, starting with Week 9 against the Bears.

----------

Jared Goff (QB) LA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429996
Goff completed 17 of 31 passes for 372 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Bengals.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Goff lost one of his favorite targets, Brandin Cooks (concussion), early, but that didn't stop him from slicing up the Bengals with a big second quarter. First, dropping a 31-yard bucket-throw to Josh Reynolds for a touchdown and then just slinging it outside to Cooper Kupp off a flea flicker and letting his receiver do the rest for a 65-yard score. Goff isn't quite back to his 2018-self, and fumbles remain a problem, but he's played a cleaner brand of football over the past two weeks with five total touchdowns and no picks. That's been against two of the worst teams in the league, however, and he'll facer a stiffer test after the bye against an improving Steelers defense.

----------

Kenny Golladay (WR) DET - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430040
Golladay caught six of eight targets for 123 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 31-26 win over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Golladay led the team in receiving yards while tying for the top spot in targets. He scored a nine-yard touchdown in the third quarter and added a 41-yard score -- which proved decisive on the scoreboard -- with just over two minutes left in the fourth. Although Golladay was held to just one catch a week ago, he's averaged 83 receiving yards per game over the last four while scoring four touchdowns in that span. He'll look to keep it up in a favorable road matchup against the Raiders next Sunday.

----------

Marquise Goodwin (WR) SF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429878
Goodwin (personal) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Panthers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Excused late in the week to tend to a personal matter, Goodwin will remain away from the team for the time being. In his stead, newcomer Emmanuel Sanders is the team's most experienced pass catcher by a long shot and will look to put his stamp on the 49ers offense for the first time.

----------

Melvin Gordon (RB) LAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429917
Gordon carried the ball eight times for 31 yards and a touchdown, also catching two of his three targets for three yards in the 17-16 win Sunday over the Bears.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: For a second consecutive week, Gordon hit paydirt, but he's registered a paltry 112 rushing yards on 44 carries since returning from his holdout in Week 4. Still, this was arguably the 26-year-old's best game since the aforementioned return, as he showed off his trademark elusiveness on a 19-yard touchdown scamper in which he changed direction on a nifty backdoor cut to find space. With the Chargers' offensive line in shambles, it's hard to have any sort of confidence in Gordon returning to last year's form, one that saw him average 5.1 yards per carry. However, he's a capable red-zone threat in an offense that has been able to move the ball despite difficult matchups such as Sunday's.

----------

Frank Gore (RB) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429981
Gore rushed nine times for 34 yards and wasn't targeted in the passing game in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Eagles.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Gore got nine rushing attempts to Devin Singletary's three, but Singletary scored a receiving touchdown and both players were out-rushed by quarterback Josh Allen, who carried the ball eight times for 45 yards. Allen's always a threat to vulture a short touchdown and Singletary is the more explosive Bills running back, so volume is the only thing keeping Gore relevant, and that goes out the window in games like this one when the Bills fall behind.

----------

A.J. Green (WR) CIN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429784
Green (ankle), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, said he expects to suit up Nov. 10 against the Ravens for the Bengals' first game after their Week 9 bye, Omar Ruiz of NFL Network reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Green's recovery from left ankle surgery has taken longer than the Bengals anticipated, but the team's top wideout looks to be nearing the finish line in his rehab process. Before being ruled out for the game in London against the Rams, Green had been a limited participant in practice Wednesday through Friday. The bye week should present Green with more time to heal up before he likely increases his activity in practices during Week 10 prep, setting him up to make his season debut against Baltimore. Green's eventual return could translate to fewer targets and a drop in snaps for Auden Tate and Alex Erickson.

----------

Ryan Griffin (TE) NYJ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429998
Griffin caught all four of his targets for 66 yards and two touchdowns while also hauling in a two-point conversion in Sunday's 29-15 loss to Jacksonville.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Griffin posted his best game of the season, highlighted by a 24-yard touchdown in the first quarter and a three-yard score in the third to bring his season touchdown total to three. He followed up the latter score with a two-point conversion. This was a nice performance, but Griffin still figures to be relegated to a backup role once Chris Herndon returns from his hamstring injury, which could be as soon as Week 9 in Miami.

----------

Todd Gurley (RB) LA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430006
Gurley ran for 44 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Bengals.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Gurley made his presence felt on either side of halftime, first digging the Rams out of the shade of their own goalpost with a 20-yard bruising run before halftime and then capping off the Rams first drive of the second half with a three-yard run on a toss play. Though the stats don't show it, Sunday was actually Gurley's most efficient game since Week 1 -- the first time in that span in which he averaged at least four yards per carry. The Georgia product last not reached 75 total yards in a game since the opener, but he's scored in all but one game during that stretch. Gurley doesn't seem like he's going to manhandle defenses like he used to, but he retains good value by inevitably piling up red-zone touches and picking up a score. Gurley has a whopping 15 red-zone touches over his last two games.

----------

Mecole Hardman (WR) KC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430096
Hardman caught both of his targets for 55 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 loss to Green Bay.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hardman has seen his targets decrease by one in each game since Tyreek Hill returned from injury, but the speedy wideout has been able to find the end zone in consecutive contests. The speedy rookie will need to bust out big plays in order maintain fantasy value with the rest of the Chiefs' receiving corps back at full strength. Hardman would have a higher chance of breaking off a huge gain if Patrick Mahomes (knee) is able to return for Week 9's matchup with Minnesota.

----------

Demetrius Harris (TE) CLE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430062
Harris caught two of three targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The yards and targets were actually season highs for the tight end, and he scored the Browns' only TD of the game in the second quarter -- his second score of the year. Harris remains behind Ricky Seals-Jones on the official depth chart, but the duo seem to be alternating which of them attracts Baker Mayfield's notice each week.

----------

Damien Harris (RB) NE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429897
Harris is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The return of Rex Burkhead (foot) pushes the rookie back to the Patriots' Week 8 inactive list. In the event that Sony Michel suffers an injury down the road, Harris could factor in on early downs, but for now the 2019 third-rounder is off the fantasy radar.

----------

Hunter Henry (TE) LAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429945
Henry caught four of his six targets for 47 yards in the 17-16 win Sunday over the Bears.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: This was always going to be a difficult matchup for Henry and the rest of the Chargers, so it seemed likely the third-year tight end would have trouble replicating his previous two weeks figures. In a game in which quarterback Philip Rivers completed just 19 passes, it's a positive sign that Henry netted over a fifth of the looks, and it seems likely the 24-year-old will continue to be an elite option at the fantasy tight end position, especially with a handful of easier matchups to come.

----------

Derrick Henry (RB) TEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429929
Henry ran for 75 yards and fumbled once on 16 carries, while hauling in his only target for eight yards during Sunday's 27-23 win against the Buccaneers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Just two of Henry's six first-half runs yielded positive yardage, but following his lost fumble on Tennessee's opening drive of the second half, he peeled off an 18-yard run on his very next carry, and later in the contest, he added a 15-yard scamper on Tennessee's go-ahead drive. His pass-catching upside remains low with zero touchdowns and 53 total receiving yards since Week 1, but his 18.9 carries-per-game average and six total touchdowns keep him a viable running back option. In Week 9, Henry and the Titans' ground attack will be going up against a Panthers defense that only allowed one rusher to exceed 70 yards against them between Weeks 4 and 7.

----------

Jeff Heuerman (TE) DEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429962
Heuerman (knee) is slated to undergo an MRI on Monday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Per the report, Heuerman was using crutches after Sunday's loss to the Colts, which suggests that he could miss some time. If that's the case, Noah Fant figures to see a few more looks in the Denver passing offense for any length of time Heuerman misses.

----------

Josh Hill (TE) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430042
Hill brought in three of five targets for 39 yards in the Saints' 31-9 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hill continues to see increased looks with Jared Cook (ankle) sidelined, though the New Orleans' gameplan of targeting Michael Thomas and the running backs far more often than the other pass-catchers is unlikely to change. Hill is a desperation redraft option and a cheap daily dart-throw on the off-chance he reaches the end zone.

----------

Tyreek Hill (WR) KC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430092
Hill had six catches (nine targets) for 76 yards and rushed for five more yards on his lone carry in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Packers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hill actually turned in a respectable stat line considering the Chiefs were starting backup quarterback Matt Moore in place of the dynamic Patrick Mahomes (knee). The speedy wideout posted similar stat lines in his first two games back from injury, but he was also rewarded with three touchdowns from his primary QB. It was rumored that Mahomes may have tried playing in this contest just one week removed from knee surgery, but the team opted to air on the side of caution. That said, there is a better chance that Hill gets his deep-threat partner back for a stiff test against Minnesota's defense Sunday.

----------

Brian Hill (RB) ATL - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430086
Hill ran for 29 yards and a touchdown on three carries during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Seahawks.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Game script phased the ground attack out of the equation with Atlanta falling into a 24-0 second-quarter deficit, as Hill's three attempts ranked second on the team behind Devonta Freeman's 13. The 23-year-old back made the most of his limited workload, however, scampering for a 23-yard score on the Falcons' opening drive of the second half to help reduce the deficit to 16 points. Should Ito Smith (concussion/neck) be forced to sit out once again when Atlanta returns from a Week 9 bye, Hill would be second in the running back rotation behind Freeman for a matchup against New Orleans' top-10 rush defense.

----------

Taysom Hill (QB) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429986
Hill secured all three of his targets for 63 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 31-9 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hill rotated in at quarterback as well from time to time, but never attempted a pass. However, he actually checked in with the Saints' second-highest receiving yardage tally of the afternoon, with his performance highlighted by a 36-yard grab and a five-yard touchdown catch. Hill's role figures to continue to fluctuate week to week, making his fantasy value difficult to pin down, but he'll look to build on Sunday's effort at the expense of the Falcons' poor defense Week 10 following New Orleans' bye.

----------

T.Y. Hilton (WR) IND - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429943
Hilton caught two of six passes for 54 yards during Sunday' 15-13 win over Denver.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Broncos defense had bottled up Hilton to the tune of just 19 yards entering the Colts' final drive of the game. Needing a field goal to win it, Jacoby Brissett scrambled out of trouble near his own goal and uncorked a seed to Hilton along the sideline for a gain of 35. From there, the comeback was on. Though not particularly deep, the reception was Hilton's longest of the season by nine yards. The veteran target has been a different kind of player with Brissett at quarterback, more of a catch-and-run option than the deep threat he once was (and appears still could be). His modest 11.3 yards per catch this season would be a career low by almost two full yards, but he's getting it done in the red zone like never before, with five touchdowns at the halfway point, just two away from tying a career high.

----------

Austin Hooper (TE) ATL - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430027
Hooper hauled in six of seven targets for 65 receiving yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 27-20 loss to Seattle.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hooper has been an absolute fantasy dynamo to the midway point of the 2019 campaign, establishing a pace through eight games that puts him on trajectory for a 100-catch, 1,100-yard and 10-touchdown season. Moreover, if Matt Ryan (ankle) is forced to miss a second consecutive start after the Week 9 bye, it doesn't appear that there will be a massive drop-off in statistical output, given Matt Schaub's 460-yard outing against the Seahawks. Hooper's next matchup comes Nov. 10, when the Falcons travel to take on a Saints defense that entered Week 8 allowing the 10th-fewest receiving yards to opposing tight ends, while surrendering only one touchdown to the position all season.

----------

DeAndre Hopkins (WR) HOU - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430037
Hopkins caught 11 of 13 targets for 109 yards during Sunday's 27-24 win over the Raiders.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: In the absence of Will Fuller (hamstring), Hopkins was targeted on 28 percent of his team's passes while exceeding the 100-yard mark for the second straight game. He averaged an underwhelming 9.9 yards per reception, but his season-high 11 grabs helped him to another productive day through sheer volume. Hopkins has come alive of late, with at least nine catches or 88 receiving yards in four straight games. He'll look to continue his recent success next Sunday on the road against the Jaguars.

----------

Jordan Howard (RB) PHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429914
Howard rushed 23 times for 96 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 win over the Bills. He also caught one of two targets for 15 yards.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Building on an ongoing trend, Howard dominated the volume on the ground while Miles Sanders was more effective as a receiver out of the backfield. Sanders actually had a 65-yard touchdown run himself but left in the third quarter due to a shoulder injury. Howard also watched third-stringer Boston Scott vulture a four-yard score in the third, but the lead back then found the end zone from three yards out himself in the fourth. The former Bears workhorse has five rushing touchdowns in his last six games, and Howard could be in for a larger workload against his former Bears teammates in Week 9 if Sanders is forced to miss additional time.

----------

Adam Humphries (WR) TEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430003
Humphries caught three of six targets for 24 receiving yards during Sunday's 27-23 win against Tampa Bay.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 26-year-old wideout entered 2019 with a hopeful fantasy outlook after establishing new career bests in catches (76), receiving yards (816) and touchdowns (five) during his final year in Tampa Bay, and inking a four-year, $36 million contract with the Titans in March. Production has thus far been sporadic despite those elevated expectations, as Humphries has fewer than 50 receiving yards in seven of eight appearances and is yet to get into the end zone this season. Upcoming next, Humphries and the Titans' receiving corps will be opposing a Panthers defense that entered Week 8 allowing the second-most receptions (102) and 11th-most receiving yards (1,135) to opposing wideouts on the season.

----------

Carlos Hyde (RB) HOU - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430087
Hyde carried 19 times for 83 yards during Sunday's 27-24 win over the Raiders.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Hyde averaged a respectable 4.4 yards per carry against a tough Raiders front, with his long gain going for 20 yards. He received one target in the passing game but was unable to haul it in. Hyde also received a couple of carries in the red zone but was unable to convert in what amounted to a middling performance from a fantasy perspective. He'll look to make a larger impact next Sunday against the Jaguars in London.

----------

Josh Jacobs (RB) OAK - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430039
Jacobs carried 15 times for 66 yards and caught two passes for an additional 15 yards during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Texans.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Although Jacobs averaged a respectable 4.4 yards per carry against a solid Texans front, his 15 totes on the day were his fewest since Week 3. He made a slight contribution as a pass-catcher, but his total of 81 scrimmage yards was his second lowest of the season. While it wasn't his greatest effort to date, Jacobs' high floor for yardage and touches still makes him a solid fantasy play, and he should continue as such next Sunday at home against the Lions.

----------

Alshon Jeffery (WR) PHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429942
Jeffery caught four of six targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 31-13 win over the Bills.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Jeffery led the team in targets and receiving yards, but the entire Eagles passing game remained stuck in low gear as quarterback Carson Wentz came up short of 200 passing yards for the fourth time in five games. The big-bodied wide receiver has become touchdown-dependent, as Jeffery's yardage output has finished in a narrow band between 38 and 76 yards in each of his six healthy games. Up next for Jeffery is a date with the team that drafted him in the second round back in 2012, as the Bears will come to town in Week 9.

----------

Duke Johnson (RB) HOU - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430088
Johnson carried three times for one yard and caught four of five targets for 33 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 27-24 win over the Raiders.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Johnson finished third on the team in receptions and tied for third in targets while getting his team on board with a 12-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. He did next to nothing on the ground, but his productivity as a pass-catcher lifted him to a respectable effort from a fantasy perspective. Johnson's role remains that of a change-of-pace back, making him a risky fantasy play for next Sunday's matchup with the Jaguars in London.

----------

David Johnson (RB) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429788
Johnson (ankle) is listed as inactive Sunday in New Orleans, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Unlike a week ago, when Johnson suited up but played just three offensive snaps, the Cardinals won't use subterfuge with their top skill-position player this time around. On Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Johnson likely will sit out Thursday against the 49ers as well, giving Chase Edmonds two more chances to lead this backfield. In his first opportunity to do so last Sunday versus the Giants, Edmonds was granted 29 touches, which he turned into 150 yards from scrimmage and three rushing touchdowns.

----------

Ty Johnson (RB) DET - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430080
Johnson carried seven times for 25 yards and caught one pass for an additional 13 yards during Sunday's 31-26 win over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Johnson appeared to be in line to lead the team in carries with Kerryon Johnson (knee) out, but he watched on as Tra Carson paced the backfield with 12. His seven rushes were still his second-most of the season, but he averaged just 3.6 yards per tote despite a seemingly favorable matchup against the Giants' front. Johnson appears to be just one piece of a committee that also includes J.D. McKissic and Paul Perkins at the moment, making him a risky fantasy play in next Sunday's road matchup against the Raiders.

----------

KeeSean Johnson (WR) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429835
Johnson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Since hauling in five of 10 targets in the season-opening tie with Detroit in his NFL debut, Johnson has seen his role in the Cardinals' passing attack diminish. He's notched only 12 receptions over the past six games and played a season-low five snaps in the Week 7 win over the Giants while the coaching staff handed more opportunities to Pharoh Cooper and Andy Isabella. With Johnson inactive, Damiere Byrd and Trent Sherfield will represent the Cardinals' main downfield threats in Week 8.

----------

Julio Jones (WR) ATL - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429955
Jones caught 10 of 12 targets for 152 receiving yards during Sunday's 27-20 loss to Seattle.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The two-time All-Pro fell into a brief lull with just seven combined catches for 94 yards between Weeks 4 and 5, but he has since averaged a Herculean eight catches and 117.7 yards per game against the Cardinals, Rams and Seahawks. While his catch and yardage totals are trending up, Jones is officially on a touchdown drought after scoring four times during Atlanta's first three games of 2019. He has now gone five straight games without getting into the end zone, harboring up nightmares for those who endured Jones' 12-game regular-season scoreless streak between 2017 and 2018. Upcoming next for Jones and the Falcons is a bye week, before returning to the field for a matchup against New Orleans' middling pass defense Nov. 10.

----------

Marvin Jones (WR) DET - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430082
Jones caught four of six targets for 22 yards during Sunday's 31-26 win over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Jones finished third on the team in targets and receptions, but his long gain went for just six yards in an underwhelming effort. This dud performance was especially notable considering Jones made four touchdown catches a week ago, giving him two games with fewer than 25 receiving yards in his last three. The mercurial wideout will look to bounce back in next week's favorable away matchup with the Raiders.

----------

Zay Jones (WR) OAK - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429905
Jones is active for the first time as a member of the Raiders in Sunday's Week 8 tilt against the Texans.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Jones will suit up against a depleted Texans secondary that will be missing Johnathan Joseph (hamstring), Bradley Roby (hamstring) and Tashaun Gipson (back). Jones was a healthy scratch in Week 7 against the Packers, but he's apparently picked up enough of the playbook at this point to take the field.

----------

Aaron Jones (RB) GB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430090
Jones (shoulder) rushed 13 times for 67 yards and caught seven passes (eight targets) for 159 yards and two receiving touchdowns in Sunday's 31-24 win over the Chiefs.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Jones had to leave the contest with a shoulder injury at the tail end of the first half, but he was able to return after halftime and went on to post one of the better receiving lines from a running back we've seen this season. The 24-year-old did most of his damage on a pair of wheel routes out of the backfield where he and Aaron Rodgers exposed man coverage on a lone linebacker. Jones has made significant strides as a receiver this season, nearly doubling his aerial output from last season in four less games. The third-year man has seen his rushing production take a hit, averaging 4.1 yards per carry after gaining fame in fantasy circles with a 5.5 average over his first two seasons. Jones remains the preferred back in Green Bay over Jamaal Williams, and heads into a soft matchup against the Chargers on Sunday.

----------

Ronald Jones (RB) TB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429978
Jones rushed 11 times for 35 yards and secured one of four targets for 17 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-23 loss to the Titans on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Jones outpaced backfield mate Peyton Barber in carries by one and also made good use of his one reception. However, the Buccaneers' backfield picture remains as muddled as ever, as coach Bruce Arians appears set to keep both backs in a timeshare for the time being. As a result, Jones remains a speculative play heading into a Week 9 matchup against a tough Seattle run defense.

----------

Daniel Jones (QB) NYG - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430073
Jones completed 28 of 41 pass attempts for 322 yards and four touchdowns Sunday against the Lions. He also carried four times for 13 yards and lost a fumble in the 31-26 loss.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Jones completed an impressive 68.3 percent of his attempts as he topped the 300-yard mark for the second time in his young career. He also set a new career high with four touchdown passes, including two to Darius Slayton, one to Evan Engram, and one to Sqauon Barkley. Jones had four touchdowns compared to nine turnovers in his previous four games, so this outstanding effort was a pleasant surprise to fantasy owners who were brave enough to start him this time around. He'll now turn his focus to next Monday's home matchup against the Cowboys.

----------

Alvin Kamara (RB) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429789
Kamara (ankle/knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With a Week 9 bye up next, the Saints can play it safe with Kamara and his pair of health concerns with the second half of the campaign in mind. Kamara again will yield lead-back duties to Latavius Murray, who went off for 150 yards from scrimmage and two rushing TDs on 32 touches last Sunday in Chicago.

----------

Travis Kelce (TE) KC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430094
Kelce caught four passes (eight targets) for 63 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 loss to Green Bay.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Kelce was able to post his second-best fantasy line of the season despite having backup quarterback, Matt Moore, under center. It was just the 30-year-old's second touchdown through eight games, and the lack of scores is really the only criticism that can be made of the star tight end through the first half of the season (42 receptions for 604 yards to go along with the two scores). There is realistic chance that Patrick Mahomes (knee) could return for Week 9's matchup with the Vikings, who are average against tight ends this year (ranked 14th for fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends).

----------

Christian Kirk (WR) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429940
Kirk (ankle) secured eight of 11 targets for 79 yards and rushed once for 19 yards in the Cardinals' 31-9 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Kirk was Kyler Murray's favorite receiver in the wideout's return from a three-game absence, as he paced the Cardinals in both receptions and targets. Kirk now has double-digit looks in three of his first five games of the season, and Sunday's yardage tally was his second highest of the campaign, although it's certainly worth noting he's yet to find the end zone. Kirk will look to keep the momentum going against the 49ers in a Week 9 Thursday night battle.

----------

George Kittle (TE) SF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430052
Kittle caught six of seven targets for a team-high 86 yards in Sunday's 51-13 rout of the Panthers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: He led the Niners in receiving, and he could have had an even bigger performance if a Deebo Samuel offensive pass interference penalty hadn't wiped out Kittle's second-quarter TD. The addition of Emmanuel Sanders didn't have an impact on Kittle's role in the passing game -- his seven targets led the team, and accounted for nearly a third of Jimmy Garoppolo's attempts. The third-year superstar could be primed for huge numbers next week against a Cardinals' defense that has struggled to contain tight ends all year.

----------

Cooper Kupp (WR) LA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430000
Kupp caught seven of 10 targets for 220 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 24-10 win over Cincinnati.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 220 yards were a career-high for the prolific young receiver. His biggest splash was in the second quarter when Jared Goff made a throw to the outside off a double-reverse flea flicker and Kupp did the rest, galloping toward the end zone for a 65-yard score. The Rams have a lot of weapons on offense even if Brandin Cooks (concussion) misses some time, but Kupp has been on a different level this season while leading the team in catches, targets, yards, and touchdowns as Jared Goff's security blanket. He's had at least 10 targets in five of eight games this season. After beating up on the hapless Bengals, Kupp and the Rams get the Steelers after the bye.

----------

Jarvis Landry (WR) CLE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430061
Landry caught five of 10 targets for 65 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Cleveland's passing game had little success against New England's league-leading defense, and Landry wound up leading the Browns in targets and receiving yards. It's the second time this season he's seen double-digit targets, but Landry has yet to score a TD and has topped 75 yards only once in seven games. He could struggle to turn his volume into strong production again next week in Denver.

----------

Marqise Lee (WR) JAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429873
Lee is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Jets due to a shoulder injury, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Lee left the field midway through the second quarter. He missed Week 7 due to an ankle issue. Keelan Cole, who scored in the first quarter, could see an increased role on offense as long as Lee is unable to go.

----------

Phillip Lindsay (RB) DEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429953
Lindsay ran for 59 yards on 14 carries and added five catches for 17 yards during Sunday's 15-13 loss in Indianapolis.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With the Broncos nursing a one-point lead in the closing minutes of the game, Lindsay took the inside hand-off on third down and was stuffed. The Broncos were forced to punt and watch a game-ending opposing field goal for the third time this season. Lindsay echoed quarterback Joe Flacco after the game that he wished the offense was a little more aggressive. The point is fair, but Denver has also struggled to find any sort of rhythm regardless of situation. Lindsay has been a rare brights spot, with at least 75 total yards in four of his last six games and four touchdowns. Something to watch in the coming weeks will be Lindsay's role in the passing game with Emmanuel Sanders now in San Francisco. Lindsay's five catches Sunday were a season high.

----------

Tyler Lockett (WR) SEA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429939
Lockett caught all six targets for 100 yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Falcons.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: This was Lockett's second 100-yard receiving game of the year. Every catch Lockett made went for 12 or more yards, but it was D.K. Metcalf who was rewarded with two trips to the end zone. Lockett's traditionally thought of as a boom-or-bust receiver who can stretch the field, but he sports a solid fantasy floor this year with at least four catches for 51 yards in each of the last seven games. Lockett's primed for another boom against the Buccaneers' struggling secondary in Week 9.

----------

Marlon Mack (RB) IND - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429923
Mack ran for 76 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries and added a 14-yard catch during Sunday's 15-13 win over Denver.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Mack broke through late in the third quarter of Sunday's slugfest with a 10-yard score, just his second touchdown of the season. Mack hasn't wanted for opportunities this season, with at least 18 touches in six of seven games, but fantasy managers have been right to be frustrated by a lack of scores. He'll be challenged to keep his momentum going in Week 9 against a Steelers defense that's surrendered just four rushing touchdowns this season heading into the Week 8 Monday night matchup against Dolphins, tying them for seventh best in the league.

----------

Patrick Mahomes (QB) KC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429774
While Mahomes (kneecap) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers, the Chiefs have been pleased with his progress and believe he has a "very realistic shot to play" in the team's Week 10 game against the Titans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Mahomes resumed practicing just six days after suffering a dislocated kneecap, an injury that was initially expected to carry a recovery timeline of 3-to-4 weeks. Based on how Mahomes has looked so far in practice, the Chiefs believe he'll be ready to return a few days before the short end of that timeline, and the star quarterback even has an "outside chance" of making it back as soon as next weekend against the Vikings. Matt Moore will step in as the starting quarterback Week 8 and is likely to garner the nod again Week 9, though that could change if Mahomes continues to bounce back from the injury far quicker than anticipated.

----------

Baker Mayfield (QB) CLE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430059
Mayfield completed 20 of 31 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown with one interception in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While he did better than Sam Darnold did the week before, Mayfield still had little luck solving New England's league-leading defense, and the game was basically over when the Pats grabbed a 17-0 lead in the first quarter. The second-year QB, who has yet to throw multiple TD passes in any game this season while getting picked off at least once in every game, gets another tough assignment next week when he leads the Browns into Denver.

----------

Christian McCaffrey (RB) CAR - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430032
McCaffrey ran for 117 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries and caught four of five targets for 38 yards during Sunday's 51-13 loss to San Francisco.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Despite his team's four-game winning streak being snapped by the proverbial buzzsaw known as the 49ers, McCaffrey continued to bowl through opponents from an individual perspective, accumulating more than 150 scrimmage yards for the fifth time this season while also collecting his 10th score of 2019. His 69 combined receiving yards over Carolina's past two games have been somewhat tame compared to the per-game average of 55.8 yards he established between Weeks 1 and 5. In spite of that recent speed bump, his upside remains as high as any player in fantasy heading into a matchup against a Tennessee defense that entered Sunday as a top-13 unit against the run with just 95.1 yards allowed per game on the ground.

----------

Isaiah McKenzie (WR) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429816
McKenzie is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While McKenzie will sit this one out, felllow wideout Robert Foster will draw back into Buffalo's lineup Sunday after being a healthy inactive last week.

----------

DK Metcalf (WR) SEA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429930
Metcalf caught three of five targets for 13 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Falcons.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Metcalf caught touchdowns of two and four yards in this contest, as he continues to shape up as a strong red-zone target for Russell Wilson in the wake of Will Dissly's (Achilles) season-ending injury. He now has the most receiving touchdowns (four) by a Seahawks rookie through the first eight games of a season since 2000 (Darrell Jackson). It's definitely troubling for Metcalf's fantasy value that he hasn't managed more than four receptions in a game this year, so he's shaping up as a boom-or-bust receiver based on deep throws and end-zone trips.

----------

Sony Michel (RB) NE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430067
Michel carried the ball 21 times for 74 yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While he led the team in rushing, James White topped Michel in total scrimmage yards, and neither RB was able to find the end zone. Michel heads into the second half with six TDs in eight games, but his 3.3 YPC has the second-year back on pace to fall short of 1,000 rushing yards despite a fairly significant workload.

----------

Anthony Miller (WR) CHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429979
Miller caught three passes for 67 yards in the Bears' 17-16 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The good news was that Miller led the Bears in receiving yardage, but unfortunately he received just three targets. When counted upon, he came up with a big reception on a fourth down to move the chains while also adding a 35-yard grab to help boost his yardage total. With at least 52 yards in each of his last three games, he's now a player who can be considered as a weekly fantasy option, though in a low-volume passing attack, he has clear downside as well.

----------

Gardner Minshew (QB) JAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429988
Minshew completed 22 of 34 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 29-15 win over the Jets. He added eight carries for 28 yards and lost a fumble.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Minshew tossed a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter, finding Keelan Cole from six yards out and later connecting with Chris Conley on a 70-yarder. He added a fourth-quarter dagger to D.J. Chark, converting on 3rd-and-goal from the 8-yard line to give his team a two-touchdown lead with 4:13 remaining. Minshew's first career three-touchdown performance gives him an impressive 13:2 touchdown to interception ratio heading into a Week 9 meeting with the Texans.

----------

Joe Mixon (RB) CIN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430024
Mixon ran for 66 yards on 17 attempts and added 11 yards and a touchdown on four catches during Sunday' 24-10 loss to the Rams.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Mixon tied up the game midway through the second quarter, slipping out of the backfield on the roll out and connecting with Andy Dalton for a one-yard touchdown. It was Mixon's second receiving touchdown in as many weeks and third overall despite not recording a rushing touchdown this season. Mixon has been the bell cow for Cincinnati, including Sunday's season-high 21 touches, but -- averaging just 3.2 yards per carry and 5.8 yards per catch -- Mixon is the equivalent to a "volume scorer" in the NBA. After the bye, he'll take on a Ravens defense that held him to 39 total yards in Week 6.

----------

David Montgomery (RB) CHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429957
Montgomery carried 27 times for 135 yards and a touchdown while catching four passes for 12 yards in the Bears' 17-16 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Montgomery had a season-high 27 rushing attempts, and he took full advantage of a Los Angeles defense that was without both starting defensive tackles. In the first half, he had three carries from inside the five-yard line but was stopped on each attempt. However, on his first red-zone attempt of the second half, he ran up the middle for a four-yard score. This was the first time all season that he had more than 67 rushing yards, and although this performance gives fantasy owners hope, he may need another strong performance to become a trusted fantasy option.

----------

Matt Moore (QB) KC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430099
Moore completed 24 of 36 pass attempts for 267 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Packers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Moore filled in for the injured Patrick Mahomes (knee), and the veteran backup kept the Chiefs' offense humming and barely skipping a beat. The 35-year-old's play is even more impressive when you consider the difficulty of opponent and the fact that he hasn't started a game since 2017. Mahomes' status for Week 9's matchup with the Vikings is currently unknown, but it would be tough to gamble on Moore posting favorable numbers if he is asked to make another start against a Minnesota defense that has been even tougher against the pass than Green Bay this season.

----------

D.J. Moore (WR) CAR - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430035
Moore corralled five of nine targets for 38 receiving yards during Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Unlike fellow Panthers wideout Curtis Samuel, Moore had proven to be a high-floor option through the first seven weeks of the regular season by compiling six-plus catches and more than 70 receiving yards in four of his first six outings to kick off the year. Against a San Francisco defense that entered the contest ranked No. 1 in the NFL with 133.5 passing yards allowed per game, however, the second-year receiver struggled to get much going, as the Panthers were held under 30 points for just the second time in the team's past five outings. Upcoming in Week 9 is a matchup against a Titans defense that allowed Mike Evans to rack up 11 catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns, but otherwise did not permit a Buccaneers player to score or exceed 45 receiving yards Sunday.

----------

Alfred Morris (RB) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429828
Morris (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest at New Orleans, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Morris and Zach Zenner were brought in this week in the event David Johnson (ankle) was limited or sidelined. With Morris joining Johnson on the inactive list, Zenner will act as Chase Edmonds' primary backup out of the backfield Sunday and perhaps Thursday against the 49ers as well.

----------

Raheem Mostert (RB) SF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430054
Mostert carried the ball nine times for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 51-13 rout of the Panthers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: He got a chance to contribute after Matt Breida left the game with an ankle injury, and Mostert capitalized with a 41-yard TD run in the fourth quarter for the game's final points. If Breida is forced to miss additional time, Mostert could see a similar workload next week in a potentially plus matchup against the Cardinals.

----------

Latavius Murray (RB) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429931
Murray rushed 21 times for 102 yards and a touchdown and secured nine of 12 targets for 55 yards and another score in the Saints' 31-9 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: For the second straight game, Murray was exceptional in Alvin Kamara's (ankle/knee) stead, eclipsing the century mark on the ground and contributing plenty through the air as well. Murray scored his third rushing touchdown over the last two games with an eight-yard run in the second quarter, and he then went in from 15 yards out on a pass from Drew Brees with 5:25 remaining in the third period. Murray's receiving tally was also a season best, and his reception total was second only to that of Michael Thomas on the afternoon. Kamara likely will be ready to return Week 10 against the Falcons after the bye week, but Murray has certainly made a case for a consistent, workload even when both backs are healthy.

----------

Kyler Murray (QB) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429938
Murray completed 19 of 33 passes for 220 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Cardinals' 31-9 loss to the Saints on Sunday. He also rushed twice for 13 yards and fumbled once but recovered.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Murray was able to stay away from any mistakes, as he managed to recover his own fumble. However, he also failed to get the Cardinals into the end zone, despite showing renewed chemistry with the returning Christian Kirk (ankle). Murray also took multiple sacks for the second straight game, and he's now failed to throw at least one touchdown in four of the last five contests overall. Murray will have an uphill battle to produce a more fantasy-friendly line, as he'll face the 49ers' stingy defense Week 9 on Thursday night.

----------

Greg Olsen (TE) CAR - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430068
Olsen caught both of his targets for 13 receiving yards during Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The veteran tight end's production has taken a substantial dip since a red-hot start, as he has been held scoreless while averaging two catches for 17.5 yards per game over his past four appearances, after putting up 16 catches for 221 yards and two touchdowns between Weeks 1 and 3. Olsen was dealing with a back injury through the latter stages of September, but he appears recovered as the Panthers prepare for an upcoming matchup against a Titans defense that's tied for the third-most receiving touchdowns allowed to opposing tight ends.

----------

Rashaad Penny (RB) SEA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429946
Penny rushed eight times for 55 yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Falcons.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The Seahawks' coaching staff made a concerted effort to get Penny involved in the offense, as he took a carry on the first drive of the game. Penny was plugged in again two drives later and ripped off gains of nine and 17 to bring the offense into Falcons territory. The second-year pro looked explosive to register 6.9 YPC compared to Chris Carson's 4.5 on 20 rushes. This performance should keep Penny in the rotation going forward, although Carson hasn't shown weakness as the Seahawks' bell cow. Penny should be owned in fantasy formats as a handcuff to Carson, and he could be worth a stream in deeper leagues should his volume pick up.

----------

Hunter Renfrow (WR) OAK - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430078
Renfrow caught all four of his targets for 88 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Texans.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Renfrow got his team on the board in the first quarter when he made a short catch and broke a pair of tackles before sprinting in for a 65-yard touchdown. It was the first big play of Renfrow's young career, which hadn't seen him exceed 30 receiving yards in any game this season. While he should continue to see a handful of targets each time out, he's far from a bankable fantasy option even in next week's inviting home matchup against the Lions.

----------

Josh Reynolds (WR) LA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430002
Reynolds caught three of eight targets for 73 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 24-10 win over Cincinnati. He lost a yard on a run.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Reynolds enjoyed season-highs across the board Sunday as Brandin Cook (concussion) was knocked out early. He filled in admirably, particularly on a 31-yard touchdown up the seam early in the second quarter. The Rams have a bye week before taking on the Steelers in Week 10. Reynolds' value will depend heavily on whether Cooks, who has suffered concussions in the past, is ready to play.

----------

Calvin Ridley (WR) ATL - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430023
Ridley (head) had to be evaluated for a concussion midway through Sunday's 27-20 loss to Seattle, but he was able to reenter the game and accumulate four receptions for 70 yards on seven targets.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Ridley was coming off a disappointing four-catch, 30-yard outing in his prior showing, but he was able to produce two explosive plays of 19-plus yards Sunday, while also pitching in a successful two-point conversion during Atlanta's opening drive of the second half. His four touchdowns to the midway point of 2019 are impressive, but Ridley is averaging per-game outputs of fewer than 3.5 catches and 35 receiving yards in his four appearances without a touchdown this season. He may not need a score to provide another respectable fantasy output when the Falcons return to the field Nov. 10, facing a Saints defense that entered Week 8 as a bottom-eight unit in both receiving yards (1,252) and receiving touchdowns (nine) allowed to opposing wideouts.

----------

Philip Rivers (QB) LAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429915
Rivers completed 19 of his 29 pass attempts for 201 yards, one touchdown and an interception in the 17-16 win Sunday over the Bears.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Rivers probably should have had a better fantasy day, as the veteran quarterback had two deep touchdown passes dropped by Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, respectively, in the second half. As a result, both drives ended in field-goal attempts. Still, the entire offense predictably struggled to generate any sort of consistent yardage against a stout Bears' defense, particularly the running game, which was held to just three yards per carry on 12 attempts. Turnovers continue to be an issue for Rivers, who has coughed up the ball nine times through eight games. However, considering he'll likely be near the top of the NFL in pass attempts by the conclusion of Week 8, the sheer amount of opportunities he sees makes him a serviceable fantasy option most weeks.

----------

Allen Robinson (WR) CHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429961
Robinson caught five passes for 62 yards in Chicago's 17-16 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Robinson could've had a pair of touchdowns, but the first didn't work out because the pass was thrown behind him, and on the second opportunity, he was dragged down by a defender for defensive pass interference in the end zone. Although he spent most of the day shadowed by Casey Hayward, he caught five of seven targets while posting at least 60 yards for the sixth time in seventh games, making him a rock solid weekly lineup option.

----------

Aaron Rodgers (QB) GB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430098
Rodgers (knee) completed 23 of 33 pass attempts for 305 yards and three touchdowns while adding 29 rushing yards on six carries in a 31-24 win over Kansas City on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Rodgers picked apart a sub-par Chiefs' defense with ease, focusing his attention on passes to his running backs that were matchup up with linebackers. The former MVP has looked like his prime self over the past two weeks, racking up over 750 yards and nine total touchdowns over that span. Rodgers will take on the Chargers in Week 9, and the key matchup will be San Diego's elite edge rushers versus Green Bay's top-tier offensive tackles. The star quarterback may see his production come back down to earth if coach Matt LaFleur decides to attack the Chargers on the ground (117.1 yards allowed per game), where they have been far more vulnerable in comparison to the pass (216.1 yards allowed per game).

----------

Curtis Samuel (WR) CAR - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430033
Samuel caught four of 11 targets for 46 yards during Sunday's 51-13 loss to the 49ers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 23-year-old wideout has been a largely inefficient player this season when garnering a massive workshare, as he has established a catch rate of 44.7 percent in four games with at least seven targets. Samuel is typically a profitable fantasy play when he gets into the end zone, but in his five outings this season when he does not score, Samuel is averaging just 3.6 catches and 44 receiving yards per game. Upcoming next is a Week 9 matchup against a Tennessee defense that so far this season ranks among the NFL's worst in receptions (95) and receiving yards (1,239) allowed to opposing wideouts.

----------

Emmanuel Sanders (WR) SF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430049
Sanders caught four of five targets for 25 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 51-13 rout of the Panthers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: He opened the scoring midway through the first quarter, catching a four-yard TD pass, but Sanders wasn't heavily involved after that as the Niners were able to keep the ball on the ground for the most part. The veteran receiver is expected to emerge as one of Jimmy Garoppolo's top options once he acclimates to a new scheme, but that may not result in much more volume given the team's run-heavy offense -- Sanders' five targets in this one led all San Francisco wideouts.

----------

Miles Sanders (RB) PHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429922
Sanders is slated for an MRI on his shoulder Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: In the wake of the shoulder injury suffered Sunday at Buffalo, Sanders said afterward that X-rays came back "fine," per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. While Sanders seems to have avoided any fractures or dislocations, the MRI will reveal the extent of any ligament or soft-tissue injuries. Prior to his departure in the third quarter Sunday, he totaled six touches for 118 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD.

----------

Mohamed Sanu (WR) NE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430071
Sanu caught two of five targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Tom Brady stuck to the familiar in this one, as Julian Edelman led the team in receiving yards and targets and caught both of the club's offensive TDs, and when the veteran QB did look Sanu's way it didn't amount to much. The former Falcon and Bengal should become more productive once he's acclimated to his new scheme, but Sanu could be tough to keep active on fantasy rosters until he's earned Brady's trust.

----------

Matt Schaub (QB) ATL - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430083
Schaub completed 39 of 52 pass attempts for 460 yards, while throwing one touchdown, committing an interception and losing a fumble during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Seahawks.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: After a nightmarish first 30 minutes of play the 38-year-old signal-caller looked like a different man in the second half, completing an absurd 26 of 31 pass attempts for 309 yards, while getting Atlanta to within a touchdown in the waning moments after facing a 24-0 halftime deficit. It's likely that Matt Ryan (ankle) will be recovered in time for Atlanta's Nov. 10 matchup against New Orleans given that he was considered questionable entering Week 8. If Ryan is surprisingly unable to go, however, Schaub would log his second start since 2015 with the Falcons going up against New Orleans' top-15 pass defense.

----------

Devin Singletary (RB) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429964
Singletary rushed three times for 19 yards and caught four of six targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Eagles.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Singletary's biggest play was a 28-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. He thoroughly outplayed Frank Gore, but Gore still got nine carries to Singletary's three, turning that workload into 34 yards. It appears Singletary's touches will continue to be limited by Gore's presence, even though the rookie third-rounder out of Florida Atlantic is clearly the most talented running back in Buffalo.

----------

Darius Slayton (WR) NYG - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430084
Slayton caught two of five targets for 50 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 31-26 loss to the Lions.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Slayton made the most of his two grabs, which capped off back-to-back touchdown drives in the second quarter. He had totaled five catches for 60 yards over the previous two games, so this efficient effort was likely a pleasant surprise to fantasy owners who rolled the dice on him this week. Despite Slayton's performance in this one, the Giants have several other options ahead of him on offense, which far from guarantees him similar results in next Monday's home matchup against the Cowboys.

----------

Jonnu Smith (TE) TEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429995
Smith corralled six of seven targets for 78 receiving yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 27-23 win against Tampa Bay.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With Delanie Walker (ankle) sidelined Smith saw a massive upgrade in offensive usage, garnering more than twice as many targets as he had in any other game this season. Though his involvement was limited prior to Week 8, Smith had still been making his presence felt of late, picking up 55-plus receiving yards in two of his three outings preceding Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Upcoming next is an extremely challenging matchup, as Smith and the Titans will be opposing a Panthers defense that entered the weekend allowing the fourth-fewest receiving yards to opposing tight ends this season.

----------

Ito Smith (RB) ATL - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429842
Smith (concussion/neck) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Seahawks.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Ruled out six days ago as a result of a concussion and a neck injury, Smith will yield reserve running back duties to the likes of Brian Hill and Kenjon Barner behind starter Devonta Freeman. The Falcons have a bye Week 9, which will give Smith plenty of time to work his way through the protocol for head injuries.

----------

Matthew Stafford (QB) DET - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430057
Stafford completed 25 of 32 pass attempts for 342 yards, three touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Giants.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Stafford completed an exceptional 78 percent of his passes while averaging 10.7 yards per attempt. He made a splash with some big plays on the day, including a 49-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Hall and a 41-yard strike to Kenny Golladay. Stafford has been prolific over the last two weeks, completing 71 percent of his attempts for seven touchdowns compared to two interceptions. He'll look to continue his recent success in another favorable matchup against the Raiders on the road next Sunday.

----------

Kenny Stills (WR) HOU - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430085
Stills caught three of five targets for 22 yards during Sunday's 27-24 win over the Raiders.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Stills seemed poised for a productive outing in the absence of Will Fuller (hamstring), but he instead did little of note. He tied for third on the team in targets, with his long gain of 13 yards representing his only significant contribution of the game. Stills is seemingly still reliant on big plays for fantasy production despite an elevated role in the passing game, and this should remain the case next Sunday against the Jaguars in London.

----------

Courtland Sutton (WR) DEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429967
Sutton caught three of six targets for 72 yards during Sunday's 15-13 loss in Indianapolis.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Sutton came up big midway through the second quarter, catching a pass over the middle and stiff-arming his way for a 33-yard gain to set up a Denver field goal. Sutton looked comfortable in the undisputed WR1 role and Joe Flacco lamented after the game that the Broncos didn't give their sophomore target enough opportunities down the stretch. The Broncos' offense has been putrid this season, but Sutton has been a bright spot averaging 16.3 yards per reception and a team-high three scores. Next up is a struggling Browns defense team that has been so-so in keeping opposing receivers in front of them this season.

----------

Ryan Tannehill (QB) TEN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429987
Tannehill completed 21 of 33 pass attempts for 193 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's 27-23 win against the Buccaneers.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 31-year-old signal-caller has offered a welcomed change of pace at the quarterback position for Tennessee, completing better than 70 percent of his passes and boasting a 5:1 TD:INT ratio in two games as the starter. Week 9 presents a challenging matchup with Carolina's top-10 pass defense awaiting on the slate, but Tannehill has proven capable of producing against capable opponents before, lighting up the Chargers' talented secondary for 312 passing yards and two touchdowns in Week 7.

----------

Golden Tate (WR) NYG - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430064
Tate caught eight of 10 targets for 85 yards during Sunday's 31-26 loss to the Lions.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Tate, who led the team in receiving yardage, was the only wide receiver with more than five targets. His long gain went for just 18 yards, but through pure volume he finished with a respectable day from a fantasy perspective. Tate has now been targeted a whopping 30 times over the last three weeks, coming away with at least 80 receiving yards in each contest. He'll look to continue his recent form in next Monday's home showdown with the Cowboys.

----------

Auden Tate (WR) CIN - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430016
Tate caught five of 13 targets for 65 yards during Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Rams.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With the Bengals down by two scores and facing fourth-and-10, Andy Dalton tossed it up between defenders and Tate, fading back, hauled it in for a 27-yard conversion. The sophomore target continues to be a bright spot on a winless Bengals team with little for which to cheer. Tate has either scored or tallied at least 50 yards in six consecutive games and, after the bye, gets a Ravens defense that surrendered a career-high 91 yards to him in Week 6.

----------

Demaryius Thomas (WR) NYJ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429997
Thomas caught all five of his targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 29-15 loss to Jacksonville.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Thomas has emerged as Sam Darnold's most trustworthy receiver, topping 40 yards in each of his four games since returning from a hamstring injury. There's not much fantasy value to be found in the Jets' offense, but Thomas certainly has value in deeper leagues, and he's likely to earn some consideration in shallower formats against the Dolphins in Week 9.

----------

Michael Thomas (WR) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429934
Thomas secured all 11 of his targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 31-9 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He also lost nine yards on his sole rush.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Thomas paced the Saints in receptions and receiving yards on the afternoon, as he helped make Drew Brees' return to action from a thumb injury a highly successful one. The star receiver now has eclipsed 100 yards receiving in three of the past four games, and his double-digit target streak stands at four contests. With Brees back in the fold and clearly back to full health, the 26-year-old's upside is through the roof moving forward.

----------

Chris Thompson (RB) WAS - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429778
Interim coach Bill Callahan said Friday that he's hopeful Thompson (toe) will be ready to play in the Redskins' Week 9 game against the Bills, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Thompson was inactive for a second straight game in Thursday's 19-9 loss to the Vikings, with the quick turnaround for the Week 8 contest never making it likely that he would be able to suit up. With a few additional days of prep time ahead of the Nov. 3 game in Buffalo, Thompson should have a better chance at overcoming his bout with turf toe, but his availability for the contest will likely hinge on what he's able to do in practices next Wednesday through Friday. Once Thompson is cleared to play again, Wendell Smallwood will drop back to third on the depth chart at running back and will likely see most of his playing time on special teams.

----------

Mitchell Trubisky (QB) CHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429952
Trubisky completed 23 of 35 passes for 253 yards and an interception in Chicago's 17-16 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Trubisky had plenty of chances to throw a touchdown pass from inside the five-yard line, but the only pass he threw that was somewhat catchable, resulted in a defensive pass interference call on a throw to Allen Robinson. When the Bears had a chance to put the game away in the fourth quarter, he tossed an interception and lost a fumble, and despite later leading the team down the field on potential game-winning drive, Eddie Pineiro missed the field goal. He's failed to throw a touchdown pass in four of six starts, and he carries significant weekly downside as a fantasy option.

----------

Marquez Valdes-Scantling (WR) GB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430097
Valdes-Scantling (ankle/knee) suited up and caught one pass (two targets) for four yards in Sunday's 31-24 win over the Chiefs.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Valdes-Scantling was cleared of his lower-body injuries prior to Sunday's matchup, so his lack of usage can be attributed to coach Matt LaFleur's gameplan to exploit Kansas City's linebackers with passes to running backs. The 25-year-old was coming off of a huge 133-yard performance, so Sunday's dud will leave a sour taste in fantasy owners' mouths. Valdes-Scantling was expected to take over top receiving duties while Davante Adams (toe) remains sidelined, but the wideout is averaging just 1.5 receptions and 2.8 targets in four games as a starter. It is unclear whether Adams will be able to return for Sunday's matchup against the Chargers, but even if he doesn't, expectations for MVS should be kept in check against a defense that is more susceptible to the run (21st-ranked defense) as opposed to the pass (5th).

Darren Waller (TE) OAK - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430055
Waller caught two of eight targets for 11 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-26 win over the Raiders.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Waller received lots of attention from the Houston defense on the day, as he hauled in just a quarter of the passes sent his way. Luckily, one of his two grabs produced an eight-yard touchdown, which salvaged his day from a fantasy perspective. Although Waller hadn't reached the end zone prior to last week, he's scored three times in his last two games to add another dimension to his fantasy utility. He'll look to continue his breakout campaign next Sunday at home against the Lions.

----------

Mark Walton (RB) MIA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429869
With Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald relaying that Kenyan Drake (not injury-related) won't travel with the Dolphins for Monday night's game at Pittsburgh, Walton is in line to head the team's Week 8 backfield.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: It's assumed that Drake not traveling with the team likely foreshadows a deal prior to Tuesday's NFL trade deadline. If the team moves Drake, Walton -- who led the team with 14 carries in Week 7 -- will be in line to serve as the team's lead back in the coming weeks, with Kalen Ballage also in the mix.

----------

Dwayne Washington (RB) NO - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430041
Washington carried three times for 38 yards in the Saints' 31-9 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With the game well out of hand, Washington stepped onto the field for a few carries to kill the clock. As long as Alvin Kamara (ankle/knee) is out, Washington will be a handcuff to Latavius Murray, though he's unlikely to see much work when both Murray and Kamara are healthy.

----------

Deshaun Watson (QB) HOU - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430044
Watson completed 27 of 39 pass attempts for 279 yards and three touchdowns Sunday against the Raiders. He also carried 10 times for 46 yards in the 27-24 victory.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Watson completed an impressive 69 percent of his attempts while throwing three touchdown passes for the third time this season. Two of those went to emerging tight end target Daniel Fells, while the other went to Duke Johnson. Watson also played turnover-free football for the third time this season, and his 46 rushing yards were his second most through the first eight games. It was even more impressive that the signal-caller pulled all this off without second receiver Will Fuller (hamstring) available, and he'll hope to have his full complement of weapons available for next week's matchup with the Jaguars in London.

----------

J.J. Watt (DE) HOU - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430034
Watt confirmed via his personal Twitter account Sunday that his season is over, suggesting that the fears that he tore his pectoral were true.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: This is a massive blow to Houston's defense, as Watt's impact rivals that of any other defensive player in the league. Watt will set his sights on rehabbing for the 2020 season.

----------

Carson Wentz (QB) PHI - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429936
Wentz completed 17 of 24 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 win over Buffalo. He added 35 yards on eight rushing attempts.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wentz guided his team back into the win column, but he failed to make fantasy owners happy by falling short of 200 passing yards for the fourth time in the past five games. He finally broke through against Buffalo's stout secondary with a five-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Goedert less than a minute before halftime, then watched the running game take over in the second half, with three different Eagles running backs finding paydirt. Given Wentz's uninspiring recent numbers, his owners should consider looking elsewhere when the Bears come to town in Week 9.

----------

Dede Westbrook (WR) JAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429885
Westbrook (neck/shoulder) exited Sunday's game against the Jets and will not return, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Westbrook was questionable for Sunday's game with the neck and shoulder issues but was cleared to play, though he apparently aggravated the injuries during the first half. He failed to catch his lone target before leaving the contest. Chris Conley -- three catches for 97 yards and a touchdown -- has become more involved in the passing game in his absence.

----------

James White (RB) NE - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430070
White caught four of five targets for 75 yards and carried the ball twice for four yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Browns.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: There was very little overlap between White and Sony Michel's assignments in this one -- the latter finished with 21 carries and zero catches -- and Rex Burkhead was an afterthought with four total touches. White's 79 scrimmage yards led the team, but his inability to find the end zone has put a damper on his fantasy value, and the veteran RB hasn't scored since catching a TD pass in Week 2 -- a remarkable regression from the 12 touchdowns he tallied in 2018.

----------

Damien Williams (RB) KC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430100
Williams rushed seven times for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 loss to Green Bay.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Williams was not targeted for the first time this season, but his three-yard touchdown scamper made him the leading fantasy scorer in Kansas City's backfield. LeSean McCoy touched the ball 13 times, and the veteran continues to see a slight advantage in usage in timeshare. Neither back should be considered a plus play against a stout Minnesota front seven (sixth-ranked rushing defense), especially if Patrick Mahomes (knee) remains sidelined come Week 9.

----------

Tyrell Williams (WR) OAK - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429890
Williams (foot) is active for Sunday's Week 8 tilt against the Texans.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Williams will make his return from a bout of plantar fasciitis that cost him the last two contests. The speedy receiver makes for an intriguing option against a Texans defense that will be missing three starters in Johnathan Joseph (hamstring), Bradley Roby (hamstring) and Tashaun Gipson (back).

----------

Duke Williams (WR) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429799
Williams (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Williams was limited all week and was a game-time decision heading into Sunday, but he'll officially suit up for what should be a tightly contested cross-conference matchup with the Eagles. He's worked his way into the No. 3 receiving role, but we'll note this particular game is expected to be played in bad, windy weather. We'll note that Williams' size and red-zone skills perhaps bumps him down less on this dreary day than other receivers that rely more on separation and downfield passes.

----------

Jamaal Williams (RB) GB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430095
Williams ran the ball seven times for 22 yards and a touchdown, adding 14 yards and another score on three receptions in Sunday's 31-24 win over Kansas City.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Fellow back Adam Jones stole the show (over 200 total yards and two scores), but Williams was able to hit paydirt twice as well, albeit with fewer touches and total yardage. The 24-year-old's fantasy value is touchdown dependent, as he only sees 7-12 touches per game on the smaller side of a backfield duo with Jones. Week 9's opponent, San Diego, is giving up 117.1 rushing yards per game, so there could be a large enough piece of the pie for Williams to carve out flex value in deeper formats, especially if star wideout Davante Adams (toe) is forced to miss another contest.

----------

Mike Williams (WR) LAC - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429935
Williams caught three of his six targets for 69 yards in the 17-16 win Sunday over the Bears.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Williams led the team in receiving yards, but a badly dropped touchdown on a deep pass in the first half likely ruined what could have been a breakout game for the 25-year-old. Quarterback Philip Rivers' lone interception came on what would probably count as a misplay by Williams, as the third-year receiver didn't come back to an errant pass far enough, resulting in cornerback Kyle Fuller jumping in front of the misguided pass attempt. Still, it seems as if Williams is seemingly knocking on the door of a fantasy outburst each week, and should have more opportunities next week against a Packers' secondary that has struggled to stop the pass in recent weeks.

----------

Russell Wilson (QB) SEA - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429916
Wilson completed 14 of 20 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Falcons.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wilson and the Seahawks got pushed around by the Ravens in Week 7, but they rebounded well. Their offense was buzzing in the first half, as it scored on all but one drive to take a 24-0 lead into halftime. Wilson was responsible for two of those touchdowns, as he found D.K. Metcalf in the end zone twice for scores of four and two yards. Things died down for the Seahawks in the second half, but they afforded themselves enough of a cushion to hold on. Wilson got back on track with elite efficiency, posting a 70.0 completion percentage and 9.1 YPA. He'll look to keep it up against the Buccaneers' weak secondary in Week 9.

----------

Jeff Wilson (RB) SF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430026
Coach Kyle Shanahan qualified Wilson's (head) injury as a stinger in his post-game press conference after defeating the Panthers on Sunday, adding that Wilson's not in the concussion protocol, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wilson avoiding a concussion is good news, but he should still be considered questionable for San Francisco's Week 9 tilt in Arizona. It doesn't help that the team's on a short week, with the game taking place Thursday.

----------

Jameis Winston (QB) TB - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429950
Winston completed 21 of 43 passes for 301 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Buccaneers' 27-23 loss to the Titans on Sunday. He also rushed eight times for 53 yards and had three fumbles, losing two and recovering one.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The final line is a mixed bag from a fantasy perspective, but Winston was downright bad at times Sunday in a real-world football sense and was guilty of an inexcusable four turnovers. The mistake-prone quarterback did have the connection with Mike Evans in top form, as he hit his trusted wideout for 11 completions, 198 yards and a pair of touchdowns from nine and two yards out, respectively. Winston's second pick was particularly ill-timed, as it came at the Titans' 25-yard line with 26 seconds remaining, effectively sealing the Buccaneers' fate. Coach Bruce Arians had emphasized heading into the bye week that he hadn't considered benching Winston, but a second straight multi-interception effort and third consecutive game with sub-55.0-percent passing might lead to a reevaluation of that statement. Winston's next opportunity to right the ship comes Week 9 against the Seahawks.

----------

Jarius Wright (WR) CAR - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=430005
Wright (leg) returned to Sunday's game against the 49ers, Max Henson of the Panthers' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wright was carted off early in the second half, but all seems to be fine as he got back onto the field in the fourth quarter. The 29-year-old wideout will continue to work as the team's No. 3 receiver behind D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel.

----------

T.J. Yeldon (RB) BUF - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429844
Yeldon is listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The veteran is out of the picture with Frank Gore and Devin Singletary both healthy. Moreover, Senorise Perry is a much better special teams player than Yeldon, leaving the latter in street clothes for the second straight week.

----------

Zach Zenner (RB) ARZ - Oct. 27
https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=429834
Zenner will be Chase Edmonds' backup Sunday in New Orleans, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Zenner was among two running backs signed this week to provide depth to the Cardinals' backfield. With Alfred Morris joining David Johnson (ankle) on the inactive list Sunday, Zenner is the only other RB available to the offense behind starter Chase Edmonds. For his career, Zenner has averaged 3.9 yards per carry while hauling in 28 of 39 targets in 37 appearances.
